Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The Projection of Another World

After sending Steve off, Wang Ye closed the door to the shop.

Although it was already late at night, he didn't feel sleepy. He now had the formula for the Super Soldier Serum in hand.

The most important task was to begin preparations and conduct human experiments immediately.

Wang Ye waved his hand, opening a spatial gate to the headquarters. As if passing through a curtain of water, ripples spread out, and the next moment, he was back in the leader's office atop Allen Tower.

"Leader!"

Jon, the adjutant, who had been handling documents in the office, immediately stood and saluted respectfully.

"Mm, you've been working hard lately."

Wang Ye nodded, glancing at the pile of paperwork on the desk. He thought to himself that it was a good thing Jon was here; otherwise, all the bureaucracy would have given him a headache.

"It's no trouble, Leader. It's my duty to relieve your burdens."

Jon's expression was serious, showing no hint of emotional fluctuation.

"I see your efforts. I won't let them go unrewarded."

"Now, prepare the most advanced biological lab and bring Dr. Zola to me. I have something to discuss with him."

Wang Ye walked to the wine cabinet, opened a bottle of red wine, let it breathe for a moment, and poured himself a glass.

"Yes, Leader!"

Jon set down the document he had been signing and quickly left the office.

Wang Ye flipped through the documents on the desk. They were filled with trivial matters from various departments, along with personnel changes and adjustments.

After a while, he sat on the sofa and began organizing the Super Soldier Serum formula and related information into a written document.

Knock knock knock~

Dr. Zola knocked on the office door.

"Come in!"

Upon entering, Zola saw Wang Ye seriously writing at the coffee table. Hesitantly, he asked, "Leader, you wanted to see me?"

"Mm, take a look at this document and tell me your thoughts."

Wang Ye pushed the document he had just written toward Dr. Zola, then leaned back on the sofa, crossing his legs as he studied him.

Dr. Zola nodded, stepped forward, and began flipping through the document.

The more he read, the more serious his expression became. By the end, he looked at Wang Ye in astonishment.

"Leader, is this the Super Soldier Serum you mentioned before? I can't believe they actually developed it!"

"Yes, this is the complete formula and algorithm for the Super Soldier Serum. However, it currently only enhances an ordinary person's physical abilities up to four times that of a normal human, which is still too weak."

"I'm giving this to you because I want its effects further strengthened. What are your thoughts?"

Wang Ye casually took a sip of wine, a slight smile curving on his lips, masking his true thoughts.

Dr. Zola wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, carefully rereading the document before replying.

"With these formulas and algorithms, strengthening its effects isn't too difficult. However, the side effects are severe. While it enhances the user's physical abilities, it also amplifies their personality, which could cause them to lose control."

"Actually, you can start by researching a single-enhancement serum and address the side effects step by step."

"By the way, how's the progress on the spaceship?"

Dr. Zola was a versatile talent, proficient in various fields. However, Red Skull had only focused on his weapon development skills, overlooking his broader capabilities.

**"The materials required for constructing the spaceship are immense, and many rare metals are still needed. Collecting these has been a significant challenge. As a result, the original two-month deadline has been delayed repeatedly.

That said, the main body of the spaceship is almost complete, and the super-light-speed engine powered by the WT4 element has already been installed. The remaining parts will take about two more months to finish, followed by final adjustments and test flights."**

For months, Dr. Zola had worked tirelessly, developing heavy defense weapons, energy shields, and artificial gravity and propulsion systems for the spaceship. He now had dark circles under his eyes from sleeping only three to four hours a night.

"Let the spaceship project continue as planned. Take your time."

"Your main task now is to prioritize researching the Super Soldier Serum. Simplify the process and minimize the pain involved in its enhancement."

"Understood, Leader!"

"Alright, take the document and go! When you see Jon, tell him to prepare me a double-strength latte."

"Yes, Leader!"

Dr. Zola took the document and hurried out. He already had a research plan in mind after reading it. As soon as he left the office, he jogged to his lab and began intensive experimentation.

Wang Ye rubbed his eyes and stood up.

Suddenly, he felt a strange sensation from the Space Gem's projection in his mind. Illusory, dreamlike images flickered in and out, both vivid and blurry at the same time.

Supporting his forehead, Wang Ye sat on the floor, closing his eyes to focus on the visions in his mind.

Disjointed fragments gradually became clearer: towering skyscrapers reaching for the stars and a bustling city.

Then the scene shifted—the lively streets were now filled with decay and the stench of rot. In the corners, gaunt, strange figures huddled together.

Upon closer inspection, their pupils were dilated, and some bore severe, even fatal, rotting wounds, yet they wandered aimlessly.

"What the... Zombies?" Wang Ye muttered.

The decaying bodies and eerie postures were unmistakable.

"Could it be that the Space Gem's enhanced power allows me to see projections of another world?"

Just as he was piecing it together, he noticed a striking woman in one scene—a fiery red dress with a high slit, a sizzling figure, and golden hair. She held a shotgun, her determined gaze fixed on the zombie-infested world.

"That's Alice... This is Resident Evil!

"I didn't expect the Space Gem to have this ability!"

"If I could open a spatial gate to enter this world..."

Wang Ye sat deep in thought, exploring the implications.

After much consideration, he concluded one thing: the enhanced copy ability had unlocked inter-world travel, but it was still unstable.

Knock knock knock~

"Leader, your double-strength latte is ready!"

Jon entered, holding a steaming cup of coffee.
