With each of them having 3 stages and a significance power difference in between.

But in my case, it was different when I reached golden core realm. That's when it happened. Another war broke out between tang sect and south heavenly sect. And we stood with tang sect. I was sent to frontlines and I totally nailed it. We won but we were ambushed. I was able to save my allies. At the expense of heavy injuries. And I was on the verge on death. And then I stumbled upon something . A cave with all kinds of writing, and I was able to understood the meaning of life and death. And rest is history. It seems I found the lost ancient god path. It was something of a purer bloodline cultivation. And then I cut all my ties. Until I fell in love but she betrayed me and she killed me. Or rather I let her kill me. Because of my craziness of what'll happen. And now I'm dying.
