Yang Feng suddenly remembered who the woman in green was.
She was Lian Yue, a Celestial Beast Master. Ten years ago, when she entered the Astral Wasteland, she resonated with the Clear Heart Lotus. There had been a brief mention of it in their textbook. It was said that this relic was of celestial grade and granted the ability "Heal" to Lian Yue.
While Yang Feng was recalling information about Lian Yue, the doctor approached him.
He asked Yang Feng how he was feeling and asked a few routine questions. Yang Feng answered, and after confirming that he could be discharged next morning, they walked out of the room.
Ao Xing, who had been standing quietly at the side all this time, approached him with a pout. "Brother Feng, how are you feeling now?"
Yang Feng stood up and, after a little warm-up, smiled. "I'm feeling great."
"Miss Lian's Clear Heart Lotus is as awesome as described in the textbooks."
Ao Xing giggled at his antics and linked her arm with his. She sat down on the bed beside him, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Brother Feng, do you know how scared I was when I saw your bloodied and… naked body?"
Ao Xing's expression shifted from concern to amusement mid-sentence, and she giggled.
Yang Feng didn't notice the change. In his mind, one word was echoing again and again: naked.
He turned his head toward her, eyes wide, and asked, "What do you mean by 'naked'?"
Ao Xing removed her head from his shoulder and looked at his anxious face. Then—
Pfft!
A sweet laugh filled the room as Ao Xing jumped off the bed and dashed toward the door.
Before leaving, she turned around, made a playful face at Yang Feng, and teased, "I won't tell!"
Her laughter echoed down the hall as Yang Feng stood there, bewildered. He quickly ran after her, calling out her name, but Ao Xing only laughed harder in response.
After half an hour of chasing through the hospital, Yang Feng finally caught up with Ao Xing.
Once the teasing subsided, Ao Xing finally told him what had happened. According to her, when the Astral Veil ended, the students returned to their original positions. Most had only minor injuries, and no one was fatally wounded—except for Yang Feng.
When he emerged from the Astral Wasteland, he didn't have a single piece of clothing left. His skin was cracked, seeping with blood.
The school nurse, horrified, checked him over and found that only his heart and brain had remained unharmed. The school quickly called an ambulance, and Yang Feng was rushed to the ICU.
"If it hadn't been for Lian Yue's presence, you would have died for sure," Ao Xing said softly.
Yang Feng was silent for a moment, when suddenly.
"There's one silver lining, though," Ao Xing teased with a smile. "When you emerged, you were facing downward, so, fortunately no girls were harmed."
As Ao Xing finished recounting the incident, they walked back to Yang Feng's room and sat together on the bed, holding hands.
"Thank you," Yang Feng said softly. "For being here."
Ao Xing smiled sweetly in response before changing the subject.
"Brother Feng, do you know what relic I resonated with?"
Yang Feng was curious. He had fainted before he could even check his own relic. He'd planned to do so later, but it was a mystery for now.
Before he could respond, Ao Xing continued with a gleam in her eye.
"It's the Ancestral Dragon Seal."
"It's already merged with my Dragon Pearl."
Yes, you heard that right. Ao Xing was a dragon.
She was a mutated space dragon, known as a Star Dragon. When in dragon form, her scales shimmered like stars, and, in addition to space abilities, she also had a dormant time attribute.
"Now, I can use Dragon energy from the source space to cultivate."
"I also got a cultivation technique: Divine Dragon's Thirteen Transformations."
"With this technique, I can transform into a Primeval Dragon after undergoing thirteen transformations."
"What's a Primeval Dragon?" Yang Feng asked curiously.
Ao Xing's face turned slightly red, and she murmured in a soft voice, "I don't know... but it sounds powerful."
Yang Feng rolled his eyes but didn't tease her.
Ao Xing fell silent for a moment, holding Yang Feng's hand while gazing out the window at the sunset.
Yang Feng also said nothing. From tomorrow, his life would change forever, so he wanted to enjoy this rare moment of peace.
After a while, he spoke again. "Xing'er, why aren't you asking about my Beastmaster's Relic?"
Ao Xing smiled sweetly, still watching the sunset. "I don't care. No matter how powerful your relic is, you'll always be my brother Feng."
Yang Feng was touched and held her hand tightly.
After a moment, he said, "To be honest, I don't know either. Before I could check it out, I fainted. When I woke up, I was in the hospital."
"And on top of that, I can't remember how much time passed in the Astral Wasteland. No matter how long it felt, only an hour passed in reality."
To be honest Ao Xing, too, was curious, but she held back her questions.
Now that Yang Feng was talking about it, she listened intently.
Just as Yang Feng was about to summon the cracked book, he heard in his mind:
Don't tell anyone about me.
It was a thought conveyed directly in his mind.
Yang Feng froze. Holy sh*t! My Beastmaster's relic is alive!
Then another thought followed: What's so surprising about that? I am !@#$%^&*. So, what if I am alive?
Yang Feng was confused he couldn't hear some words, and when he asked for clarification, the response he got was:
You are not qualified to know.
Okay, stop. Don't ask anything. Just tell that little dragon that your relic is the "Nine Elements Divine Codex" and that it will grant you affinity with all nine elements. By the way, it's one of my many abilities.
Codex told him, clearly showing its superiority by stressing the word "many
Yang Feng was stunned but complied with the Codex's request. Yes, request not an order. At that moment, the Codex disguised itself, transforming into a black book with a golden formation diagram on its surface.
Yang Feng took it out and told Ao Xing what the Codex had shared with him. Though he felt guilty, it wasn't exactly a lie—just a part of the truth.
When Ao Xing heard that Yang Feng's relic would grant him affinity with all nine elements, her mouth hung open, and she stared at him blankly.
Yang Feng chuckled and gently patted her head.
Ao Xing snapped out of her stupor and stood up, excitedly exclaiming, "Brother Feng, you're amazing! I told you before the Astral Veil that you'd get a powerful relic, but this... this is beyond my expectations!"
"I, I cant believe its just a celestial relic"
Yang feng: Me too
Beastmaster's Forbidden Codex: Me three
