Hyacinth POV
It was a few days after Uncle Moony had cured his forced lycanthropy in exchange for his new animagus form when I remembered that we needed to save the Flamel's from death after what Dumbles did to their stone. With that in mind I walked into Uncle Moony's lab and said, "I think we need to find Nicolas Flamel and his wife. They might be able to help us with some of the more delicate research due to their experience. Plus I don't think they are big fans of Dumbles at the moment since he just destroyed their only way of living." This got Uncle Moony to look at me and ask. "What do you mean cub?" I took a deep breath and said, "I think Nev and I have to tell you, Dad and Gran what happened at school this year. You guys only know what has happened to me outside of school. Could you get Gran, Dad and Neville to come here so that I can tell you all? Nev knows some of it but not everything so he should know as well." Uncle Moony gave me a long look and then nodded with a grave look on his face.
Everyone got to Potter Manor for this discussion because I know it is going to be a long one I wanted to be comfortable while we talked. Once we all sat down I started, "Alright so Nev knows some of what happened this year but mostly from rumors and Ronald's boasting which I know almost no one believes. When we got to school after we were sorted Dumbledore warned us to stay away from the 3rd floor corridor unless we wanted to die a painful death." Neville nodded at this while all the adults look rightly shocked and pissed off. I continued, "Well what most didn't know is that Dumbles had Hagrid's 3 headed Cerberus locked in there guarding the philosophers stone from Voldemort." Gran shrieked and I mean shrieked, "You have to be joking! Please tell me you are joking! I don't even want to think what this could have resulted in if things had gotten out of hand. What if one or both of you or any student for that manner had gotten hurt." Nev nodded but said, "I know Gran I would have been terrified had I known the troll getting into the castle was bad enough." Gran and Dad stood while yelling, ""Troll! What troll?"" I looked at Nev and he cringed so I continued, "It was on Halloween when the DADA teacher ran into the great hall and yelled there is a troll in dungeon and then promptly passed out. Dumbles in his infinite wisdom told the prefects to take us back to our dorms with a troll on the loose not to mention the Hufflepuff and Slytherin dorms are in the dungeon."
Uncle Moony and Dad were shaking at this point and Gran looked like steam would come out of her ears at any moment but I continued. "Hermione was missing from the great hall because Ron was mean to her earlier that day. So we went to warn her before heading up to our dorms ourselves but we never got the chance the troll had found her so I wound up fighting it we managed to beat it by shear dumb luck a well timed wingardium leviosa at his club and then smashing said club into his head and we were safe. That was how I became friends with Hermione and Ron by association but he is still a jerk to Mia at times." The adults looked exhausted but Dad said, "What does this have to do with the Flamel's Cinthy?" I sighed and said, "I'm getting there Dad, So Mia and I started to do research on the stone after we found Fluffy in the 3rd floor corridor after Malfoy tried to challenge me to a dule and didn't show up. We found out the Dumbles was hiding the stone in the corridor under a trap door that Fluffy was guarding. We originally thought it was Professor Snape that was trying to get the stone because of an incident that happened during the Quidditch match earlier in the year where someone was trying to curse me off my broom but it turned out to be Quirrell."
Dad interrupted by saying, "I don't like any of this but I have a feeling I am going to really hate this next part." Gran just nodded as she gripped Nev's hand harder and Uncle Moony just sat their never taking his eyes off me. I nodded and said, "No Dad your not gonna like it. Anyway Mia, Ron and myself realized that who we thought was Snape was trying to steal the stone when Dumbles left the castle so we went to tell Professor McGonagall but she of course didn't believe us so we went to save the stone ourselves." I waited for the screams but it was silent so I continued, "We found Fluffy already asleep due to a charmed harp. So we jumped down the trap door and landed in devils snare, we only got out of it thanks to Mia realizing what it was. Next was the flying keys, I had to use a broom to fly up and catch one specific key in a room full of them to unlock a charmed door. Then we face a giant game of wizards chess where the pieces tried to kill us unless we won the game, Ron did but he was almost smashed to death. That lead to the potions riddle thankfully Mia guessed right and I was able to make it through the flames but there was only enough potion for me. Mia took the other potion allowing her to head back to the chess board to help Ron and then go for help. I continued on to a room with the Mirror of Erised which I had found earlier in the year but Dumbles hid from me because I was spending to much time with it apparently."
Uncle Moony stopped me and asked, "What did you see in the mirror cub? I have read about it it shows what you heart desires right?" I nodded and said, "I saw Mum and Daddy standing behind me looking at me with love in their eyes." I had a tear run down my cheek before I was wrapped up in Dad's arms as he silently ran his hand through me hair comforting me and him I suppose. I continued while keeping Dad's hold on me for comfort. "I found Quirrell standing in front of the mirror. That's when I heard him for the first time, Voldemort was on the back of his head like a freaky growth. He ordered me to get the stone for him when I said no he attacked me. I realized the stone dropped into my pocket and tried to run but he came at me again. That's when I touched his hand and it crumbled, literally crumbled. I still don't know why it happened but I knew that was the only way to live I pressed my hands to his face and watched as he fell apart. Voldemort's soul then flew at me and I passed out. I woke up in the infirmary with Dumbles sitting on the foot of my bed saying that Mum's love was what saved me when Voldemort tried to kill me as a baby and again when Quirrell/Moldy shorts tried again."
I waited quietly for them all to react and they didn't disappoint Uncle Moony growled, Dad punched a wall but Gran was the scariest she simply smiled a calm chilling smile at me and Neville and said, 'You will not be going back to the castle next year without me talking to Minerva about all that has happened. I want Dumbledore on a short leash next year and l will get what I want." Nev and I shuddered at the thought but we wisely said nothing. Gran is scary that's for sure. Dad and Uncle Moony didn't look scared they looked murderous right along with her both nodded before wrapping me up in a tight group hug. 'I'll bring up the Flamel's again after they are done plotting' I thought.
