Chapter 41 - Ch 40 - Poolside Paradise

The sun was high in the sky, casting golden rays across the crystal-clear waters of the pool.

The air was filled with laughter and faint splashes of water as the poolside party kicked off.

Organized by Sakura and Akane, the event was intended to be a carefree, fun-filled day for their friends—and for Liam, though he'd been roped into it against his will.

The pool area was vibrant with colorful decorations: strings of lights draped along the edges, balloons bobbing on the surface of the water, and a table laden with snacks and drinks.

The scent of freshly grilled food wafted through the air, courtesy of Aiki, who had donned an outfit as provocative as the girls themselves—a black thong bikini paired with a sheer, short sarong that swayed enticingly with her every movement.

Liam stepped out of the villa's shaded interior, his usual nonchalant expression firmly in place. His athletic frame, toned and muscular from years of rigorous training, was on full display in a pair of simple black jockey briefs. The sharp contours of his abs and the broadness of his shoulders immediately drew the attention of the gathered girls, their chatter momentarily ceasing as they turned to look at him.

"Wow…" One of them whispered, her voice low but audible enough to reach Liam's ears.

"Forget the snacks," Another murmured, biting her lower lip as her eyes roamed over him.

"Liam!" Sakura called out, her playful grin widening as she waved him over. "You finally decided to join us!"

"Not like I had much of a choice," Liam replied, his tone dry but not unkind. He stepped forward, feeling the heat of multiple gazes on him.

The girls—seven or eight from Sakura and Akane's class, along with a few members of Liam's fan club—had come dressed to impress. Each wore a bikini that seemed to compete in style and boldness. From frilly and cute to sleek and daring, the variety was a feast for the eyes.

Among the boldest were Mei Mei and Akane Shizuki, whose thong bikinis left little to the imagination.

Mei Mei, with her long hair tied into a high ponytail, exuded a playful confidence as she sauntered past Liam, her hips swaying exaggeratedly.

"You're not going to hide in the shade all day, are you, Liam?" Mei Mei teased, her voice sultry.

"I might," He replied, his smirk teasing as his eyes flickered to hers.

The girls wasted no time involving Liam in their games. Some were shy, stealing glances at him while pretending to focus on their friends.

Others were far bolder, openly flirting with him.

"Liam, could you help me adjust my top?" One of the girls, Ayaka, asked with feigned innocence, her cheeks flushed.

"Or maybe you could help me with sunscreen," Rina chimed in, holding up a bottle and giving him a cheeky wink.

"You all seem pretty capable to me," Liam replied smoothly, leaning back on one of the poolside loungers.

"Oh, come on, Liam," Mei Mei said, plopping down beside him. She leaned in close, her hand casually resting on his bicep. "You're not going to just sit there, are you? Join us!"

As if on cue, a water balloon came flying through the air, smacking Liam squarely in the chest.

"Got you!" Sakura yelled, laughing as she held another balloon aloft.

Liam raised an eyebrow, a slow grin spreading across his face. "Oh, you're going to regret that."

He moved with lightning speed, scooping up a nearby water gun and retaliating.

Chaos erupted as the girls shrieked and scattered, diving into the pool or hiding behind inflatable floats.

The pool became a battleground of splashes, laughter, and harmless pranks.

Mei Mei teamed up with Akane Shizuki, the pair forming a formidable duo as they tried to corner Liam.

"You can't escape us, Liam!" Akane declared, her thong bikini making her bold approach even more audacious.

"I wasn't trying to," He shot back, firing a stream of water that sent her ducking behind a float.

Some of the shyer girls stayed on the sidelines, giggling as they watched the spectacle. But even they couldn't resist occasionally sneaking glances at Liam, their faces pink as they whispered among themselves.

"Did you see how he dodged that?" One murmured.

"And those abs…" Another added, her voice trailing off into a dreamy sigh.

Meanwhile, Aiki made her rounds, carrying trays of snacks and drinks. Her movements were graceful and practiced, but her choice of attire—a thong bikini with a sheer sarong—did not go unnoticed.

"Mrs. Aiki, you're stealing the show," One of the girls teased, earning a playful swat on the arm from Aiki.

"Don't flatter me," She said, though her slight smile suggested she didn't mind the attention.

As the afternoon wore on, Liam found himself taking a break under the shade of a large umbrella. With a glass of lemonade in hand, he watched the girls continue their games.

"You're quite the popular one, aren't you?" Akane Nanao, the girl he'd invited from his class, said as she approached.

Liam glanced up, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I wouldn't call it that. Just caught in the crossfire."

Akane laughed, sitting down beside him. She wore a simple yet elegant navy bikini, and her demeanor was calm and collected compared to some of the others.

"Still, it's nice to see you relaxing for once," She said. "You always seem so… untouchable at school."

"I could say the same about you," Liam replied, his tone light.

They chatted for a while, the conversation flowing easily despite the lively chaos around them.

Liam found himself genuinely enjoying her company, her calm presence a contrast to the bold energy of the others.

As the sun began to set, the party started winding down. The girls lounged around the pool, tired but happy, while Aiki brought out plates of fresh fruit and chilled drinks.

"Today was amazing," Mei Mei said, stretching out on a lounger.

"Yeah, we should do this more often," Akane added, her cheeks still flushed from the sun—and perhaps from the many stolen glances at Liam.

Liam leaned back in his chair, a rare look of contentment on his face. For now, he allowed himself to simply enjoy the moment, surrounded by laughter and lighthearted banter.

"You know," He said, his voice carrying over the soft hum of conversation, "you're all a handful."

The girls burst into laughter, their playful protests echoing through the evening air.

And for that brief moment, the world felt simpler, as if the weight of the upcoming battles and chaos could wait just a little longer.
