Five guards surrounded the lord's bedroom. He wasn't sure what exactly was going on but his Minister told him that he had to be watched closely for some time but he didn't say how long or why.
It was about noon and Kagesuki lay in his bed sleepless. He didn't know what it was but something was keeping him up, he felt as If he was being watched...
Far, Far Away.....
"I was told you needed me. what do you want at this hour?"
"Oh! Hakumei! I didn't expect you to come so quickly!"
"Well, you said it was important..."
"Oh yes it is very important, we need you to keep an eye on someone important."
"Why would I need to watch someone who isn't dead?"
"Well, we all believe that he has a chance at life. So we just want you to see if he deserves death or not. Can you please do it? For me!?"
"I- fine I'll do it but just because you asked."
"YESS! Thank you so much Hakumei!"
"So tell me the details," Hakumei replied
as he walked to his chair and sat down. He looked up the history of the man he was being sent to watch and realized he was not being sent to watch a normal mortal. He was sent to watch the lord of
shadows, Kagesuki.
Hakumei walked towards the gates to leave Seirei No Ie but he realized his appearance was unsuitable
For the human world.
"Chīsai?!" Hakumei called out looking around. Pop! A little abnormal creature popped out of nowhere and yelled in an irritated voice "Why did you give me such an ugly name!"
"It's not ugly it fits you perfectly! It means tiny just like you!"
"Shut up! I'm not tiny I could beat you up!"
"Haha sure you can, now come on Chīsai can make me a human disguise?" Hakumei asked, "Why would I make you a stupid human disguise when you're a god!" Hakumei paused and stared at Chīsai then replied, "Don't ask stupid questions and just give me the disguise."
"Fine but I get to pick the disguise!" Chīsai vanished before Hakumei could say anything he then leaned on the wall, by the gates of the realm. "I'm back~!" Chīsai was holding a small bag but as soon a Hakumei grabbed it it grew he pulled out the clothes and put them on at the swing of his hand. Smoke rolled up around him and as it vanished you could see the disguise, it included golden-lined boots, a full set of metal armor, and a cloak to top it off. "Damn, this isn't as bad as I thought it would be." Hakumei said in astonishment, "Hey! Do you think I have bad taste or something!" Chīsai yelled as their face turned red. "Well... I'm not quite fond of your style." Chīsai looked down at their bright yellow and lime clothes "You're the one with depressing taste, all you wear is black."
"Ugh ok fine let's just go." The two of them went through the gates and entered the earth. When they entered Hakumei felt something fall down his shoulder and it soon clawed its way back up. Hakumei jumped in surprise and looked back at a small tan ferret "Chīsai?" The ferret shook its head gesturing that it was the fairy in his little disguise. He then tapped Chīsai's head and marched on towards the kingdom gates.
Hakumei walked through the streets and soon realized that his disguise was matching the guards. So I'm one of the king's guards, how clever now I can get close to the king as soon as possible... He thought to himself. Soon enough he made it to the castle it towered over the whole kingdom and had a dark aura to it.
