"No, no, no, it. wasn't suppose to be like this," said a woman.
She stood in the cave, hands on her head clutching her hair in frustration.
In the cave, besides the woman, there were five corpses and one on the verge of dying, five adults and a child respectively.
"No," the woman denied," I can fix this if I just..." She trailed off as a light, rose gold in colour, enveloped her whisking her away.
The woman appeared at a lakeside with a cottage to her side. On the verandah sat an old man on a rocking chair overlooking the lake before him. He turned to the woman he had summoned.
"Your times up," he announced unceremoniously.
"I noticed," the woman spat out, not even hide her anger.
"Please do mind your tone," the old man cautioned.
"Hmph," the woman snorted before asking," Was it enough?"
The old man sat up before his eyes glowed a blinding golden light. The spectacle lasted for half a minute before the light flickered off. The old man lurched foward in his seat before breaking into a bout of coughing.
"It was more than enough," he answered smiling," You should be on your way now before ..."
Suddenly, right in front of them, like glass reality shattered. Out of the void stepped a woman. She was clad in crimson dress that accentuated her crimson hair. Her mere presence made reality shift around her as if it were an illusion.
"I see we are having a meeting without me," she said mischievously but her expressionless eyes told a different story. She stared at the two in front of her before bringing her hand up and clenching it tightly.
On cue, the old man was riddled with cracks all over his body like shattering glass. He grunted in pain, his eyes never leaving his tormenter's. There staring contest lasted for about a minute before it was cut short by the arrival of another woman, this one evidently older than the others.
"Please do come down," said the much older lady as a serene aura flowed from her directly counter attacking the crimson haired lady's presence.
The crimson haired lady turned round and walked back into the darkness of the shattered reality. Behind her the shattered pieces of reality mended themselves.
"I'll be on my way then," the summoned lady said minutes after the intruder had left them.
"You now sometimes I wonder whether my past mistakes are far graver than I initially thought them to be," the older man said staring at the lake before him.
"You and me both my love, you and me both," the old woman thought to herself
