Chapter 21 - Library (2)

Kaelen made his way to the reading section. There were a bunch of people sitted there, but it wasn't crowded.

Kaelen made his way to the back room. Which was exculisivly for members of his family.

As Kaelen got to the VIP section of the library. He spotted a familiar face yet again.

"Nyra?" Kaelen blurted out.

A pink-haired girl fell off the ladder which she stood atop.

"Ow! Why'd you have to scare me like that jerk?" Nyra said as she slowly got up from the floor.

Kaelen stood at the door for some seconds before finally entering, shuting it close behind him.

"Wait? Why are you here?" Nyra asked as she cast him a curious expression.

Kaelen kept silent for bit before finally replying. "Same goes for you sister. Why are you here? Didn't you have training with Velora? Kaelen replied as he took his seat on a sofa places in the room. He remembered Velora mentioning something about wanting to train Nyra.

"Why do you intend to know? And besides I've already completed my training with sister" Nyra said, be voice laced with a bit of disgust.

Kaelen shrugged as he placed the books he got from Hilda on the table before him.

"No reason actually" Kaelen said in a neutral tone as he picked up a book and started reading.

Nyra noticed the book in his hand and was shocked.

"Wait... are you reading??" Nyra asked with confused expression on her face.

Kaelen cast her a confused glance. 'Why does everyone seem so shocked?' Kaelen wondered if his predecessor really never picked up a book in his entire life.

"Yes...and why do you look so shocked?" Kaelen said with curiousity on his face.

"Wow...I never thought a pervert like you would be able to read" Nyra said teasingly.

Kaelen ignored her remarks as he laced his focus on the book in his hand.

"If you're not searching for anything, could you please leave? As you can see, I'm trying to study" Kaelen said in an annoyed tone as he pointed his hand towards the direction of the door.

Nyra laughed out loudly. She didn't really take his insult personally. Rather, she granted him his request as she made her way to the door.

"Well, whatever it is you're reading, I sure hope that you don't forget" Nyra said with a chuckle as she proceeded out of the room.

Kaelen's focus still laced on the book in his hand. He couldn't care less about her lame remarks.

He was finally alone. As he went through different books, he found himself becoming more intrigued in them.

A particular book piqued his interest. It talked about the ancient history of Vaeloria.

Though he had information about his current world downloaded in his brain he still found himself becoming more and more curious about the book.

From what he learned from the book. It turns out that the there was once a great war between cites and Monarchs.

After locking up Morthrax, the Void King, in the Void dimesion.

Humans grew hungry for power. Though they had power bestowed by the Supreme Beings, they still lurked for more.

Humans weren't the only one who grew this need for power. Elves and Beastfolkes also had the same ideal. One wanted to rule the other.

And so a great war enveloped Vaeloria, which gave birth to tragic events.

Many lives were lost to this foolish quest to rule.

Even the Monarchs that reigned at the time, clashed in a epic battle of power.

Until the Monarchs came to an arrangement with one another. Each of them would rule over the three clans separately. None of them shall attack the other, and they were to not cross the borders of their land without permission, else it may signal another cause for war.

The three great cities were then made in order to keep that promise between themselves.

Kaelen found it a bit interesting how people of this world were so blinded by power that it resulted in an all out war. But then again, no matter were you go, people are still people. We humans sometimes crave power so much that it results in us making regrettable decisions.

After going through the entire books given to him, Kaelen was a bit surprised at how easy all of these was to grasp. He didn't consider it a challenge, given his ability to easily grasp and accumulate information.

Kaelen went through the books about two more times before proceeding to return the books.

Before leaving, his eyes caught something laying on the floor. It seemed be a piece of paper from Nyra's book.

Kaelen turned to check what was written on the paper and was shocked by this discovery.

HOW TO MAKE MY BREASTS BIGGER!!

The topic was boldly written in the corner of the paper. Without a doubt, Kaelen could tell that it was his sister's handwriting. But why would she write such things down.

It was clear to him that she didn't like the size of her breasts.

Kaelen had taken some time to observe his sister's boobs. Though they were firm and bust. They were relatively small, compared to Sofia and Hilda's.

Was she feeling insecure about her boob size? Was that why she was in the library? Was she searching for a book that could help her get what she wants? Kaelen chuckled softly at his sister's insecurity.

'i guess I'll hold into this for safekeeping' Kaelen said inwardly, before tucking the piece of paper in his pocket.

He then made his way to Hilda's desk. He needed to get his hands on that book soon else it would get in the way of his plans.

After getting to Hilda's desk, Kaelen gave her a cold glance which merely had an effect on her.

Rather, Hilda wondered why he was back so soon. Didn't he want to read anymore? Was the book too difficult for him to grasp? It would make sense if that was the case.

Kaelen placed the stack of books up on the desk before her.

"I'm done with these" Kaelen said in a low but firm tone.

"What??"
