Chapter 45 - I Came To Find You

"Golden Land?!"

"Emerald City?!"

"The great secret treasure 'ONE PIECE'?!"

"There are always some fools blinded by the treasure dream, turning a blind eye to immediate interests!!"

"You obviously have the strength to dominate this ocean, but you die for the sake of vain illusions!!"

"Those idiots who died will be remembered like this: 'That guy lived in a dream and was happy from beginning to end!!'"

"Hahaha!! This is a huge irony of the bereaved dog!!"

"Just seeing those idiots daydreaming makes me sick to the point of vomiting!!"

With that, Bellamy picked up a bottle and smashed it directly over Luffy's head.

"Luffy!!"

"It's because of weak guys like you that delay the retreat of us real pirates!" Bellamy sneered.

Then, a wine glass was thrown, hitting Luffy squarely.

"Hey hey hey, bugs, get out of here!"

"Don't stink up our wine!"

"Bellamy is right, hee hee hee!"

"Get out! Get out!"

"Disappear from this town!"

More people joined in, throwing food and bottles at Luffy and Zoro.

"Hahaha, Bellamy! Everyone can't wait; let's perform now!"

"Haha, I would rather obey orders than be respectful, hahahaha!!"

Nami urged, "Luffy!! Zoro!! If we don't fight now, we'll regret it later! Knock those bastards out!!"

Luffy, however, said expressionlessly, "Zoro, this fight must not be fought."

As the people who came with Bellamy started to beat up Luffy and Zoro, the two of them stood their ground, refusing to fight back.

Seeing this scene, Kai shook his head helplessly. "What a bunch of idiots."

The atmosphere in the bar was charged with tension, but Luffy and Zoro remained calm, their resolve unshaken. They understood that engaging in a pointless brawl would only escalate the situation and draw unwanted attention.

Bellamy, sensing their restraint, grew more agitated. "What's wrong? Are you too scared to fight back? You think you can just stand there and take it?"

Luffy finally spoke, his voice steady. "We're not scared. We just don't want to waste our energy on fools like you."

The crowd fell silent for a moment, taken aback by Luffy's words. Then, laughter erupted again, but this time it was mixed with confusion.

"Did he just call us fools?!"

"Who does he think he is?!"

Bellamy's face twisted in anger. "You think you can just insult us and walk away? You're going to regret that!"

But Luffy simply shrugged, a grin spreading across his face. "Regret? I don't even know what that means. I'm just here to find my friends and go to Sky Island."

The crowd was momentarily stunned by Luffy's nonchalance. It was clear that he wasn't intimidated by their numbers or their threats.

Zoro, still holding his sword, added, "If you want to fight, then let's make it worth our time. Otherwise, you're just wasting our breath."

Bellamy's eyes narrowed, realizing that Luffy and Zoro were not the easy targets he had hoped for. The atmosphere shifted, and the crowd began to murmur among themselves, unsure of how to proceed.

"Looks like you're not as weak as I thought," Bellamy finally said, a hint of respect creeping into his voice. "But that doesn't mean I won't take you down."

"Bring it on," Luffy replied, his grin unwavering.

As tensions escalated, Kai watched with a mix of amusement and concern. He knew that Luffy and Zoro had the strength to handle themselves, but he also understood the importance of choosing battles wisely. The bar was filled with pirates, and a fight here could attract unwanted attention from even more dangerous foes.

"Let's see how this plays out," he muttered to himself, ready to step in if things got out of hand.

There are many types of pirates. Some have no bottom line, killing and plundering wantonly. Others have a certain code of conduct, refraining from attacking civilians while targeting fellow pirates, marines, and corrupt officials. Then there are pirates like Luffy and his crew, who focus on seeking out great treasures and taking risks.

But no matter the type, Kai would never tolerate anyone who dared to attack him.

"Is it true to adopt the doctrine of non-resistance? Hmm, it sounds good, but in reality, it means weakness, no self-esteem, timidity, and only unrealistic daydreams! To put it bluntly, it's cowardice!" he thought, shaking his head at the scene unfolding before him.

"That's right!!" Bellamy echoed, losing interest in the fight. He stood up and approached Luffy and Zoro. "No more fun, no more fun. I didn't expect that the wanted criminal with a bounty of 30 million would be such a useless thing!"

"Ha! Is there anything more disappointing than this in the world? Pfft!!" Bellamy laughed, spraying wine on Zoro and Luffy's faces. "Hey! Get away from me! You're such an eyesore!!"

With that, Bellamy and his crew knocked Luffy and Zoro to the ground.

"Luffy!! Zoro!!" Nami shouted, her concern evident.

Sakis, one of Bellamy's companions, teased Nami, "Girl! If you stick with those guys, you'll never get ahead. Why don't you give me some money and come with me instead? I can make you an offer!"

Nami shot back, "You little bastards, I don't even care!"

"Haha! What a woman who doesn't know her own abilities!" another pirate jeered.

"Wow ha ha ha ha!!"

"It turns out they are all fools!!"

The mocking laughter echoed throughout the tavern, leaving Luffy, Zoro, and Nami silent in response.

"Take those two and disappear quickly! While they still have breath, you little bastards! Don't let me see you again!" Bellamy ordered, his voice dripping with disdain.

Nami, frustrated and confused, grabbed Luffy and Zoro's clothes and began dragging them out of the bar without saying a word. She couldn't understand why Luffy and Zoro didn't resist; they could easily defeat the thugs in the bar.

Suddenly, a voice broke through the chaos. "Sky Island does exist."

Nami turned to see Blackbeard, who had just argued with Luffy earlier, sitting on the ground and enjoying a piece of Sakura peach pie.

"You are the one from just now..." Nami said, surprised.

"Hahahaha! The Sakura peach pie here is truly unparalleled!" Blackbeard exclaimed, savoring his treat.

"Little girl, what else can't you figure out? It was obvious that these two won the fight just now!" he continued.

"You have a great mouth! What a brave woman! Hahaha!" Blackbeard laughed, his voice booming through the tavern.

Luffy and Zoro slowly stood up, shaking off the remnants of their earlier humiliation.

"The 'New Era' those guys are talking about is just a load of crap!" Luffy declared, his eyes blazing with determination.

"The era of pirate treasure hunting is over!! Hahahahaha!!"

"A man's dream!!"

"It won't end!!"

"Am I right?" Luffy shouted, rallying the few who still believed in the dream of adventure.

As the people around them watched Blackbeard laughing and spouting his crazy ideas, they began to suspect that something was off with him.

Blackbeard completely ignored the murmurs of the crowd. "Bullying people doesn't necessarily make you happy!!"

"As long as you lock onto your target, if people want to laugh, let them laugh!! It's not necessary to use your fists in a fight! Hahahaha!!"

At that moment, a voice cut through the noise. "Sky Island does exist, but some self-righteous people at the bottom don't know it at all."

Nami turned to see the young man from before, the one who had spoken up earlier.

"Do you know where Sky Island is?" she asked, hope flickering in her eyes.

"Well, I know it exists, but I can only tell you that. As for where it is, you'll have to find it yourself; otherwise, you'll lose the fun of exploring, right?" he replied with a smirk. "As for those people, they're just a bunch of frogs in a well who think they've seen everything."

Bellamy and his crew, having heard Blackbeard's laughter, came out to see what was happening, just in time to catch the young man's words.

"Hey! Brat, what did you say?!" Bellamy shouted, his face contorting with anger.

"How dare you say that to Brother Bellamy!" one of his minions added, ready to charge at the young man.

The young man merely glanced at the two of them.

Plop!

The two minions fell to the ground, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

The young man turned his gaze to Bellamy and the others. His bloody Sharingan glowed ominously, creating an oppressive atmosphere that made Bellamy and his crew hold their breath.

"I'm not here for you idiots," he said coolly.

He then looked directly at Blackbeard. "I'm here to find you, Blackbeard."
