Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Out of Hell

Mike, now a dark angel, stood alone, the Lord Supreme's presence gone. Suddenly, a glowing gate appeared before him. The gate pulsed with an otherworldly energy, and Mike felt an inexplicable pull towards it.

"Come on, Luna!" Mike called out, his voice echoing through the desolate landscape.

Luna emerged from the shadows, her eyes fixed on the gate. "Where does it lead?"

Mike shrugged. "Only one way to find out."

Together, they walked through the gate, leaving the fiery depths of Hell behind. As they emerged on the other side, Mike's eyes widened in awe. They found themselves in a cyberpunk world, with flying cars zipping through the air and towering skyscrapers piercing the sky.

"Whoa!" Luna exclaimed. "This is insane!"

Mike looked shocked this was not how this world was a week ago. This world looked more advanced than before the only thing that did not change was Geneessis tower which he could see in the far distance.

Mike approached a random passerby, a person with augmented reality glasses and a holographic tattoo on their arm. "Excuse me, what year is it?" Mike asked.

The person looked at him strangely, taking in his dark angel appearance. "Uh, it's 2130, dude. What's with the weird wings and armor?"

Mike's eyes widened in shock. "2130?! But...but that's impossible!"

As he spoke, the person's gaze lingered on his wings, and Mike felt a sudden surge of pain. His wings began to retract, the chains sliding back into his skin with a sickening squelch. The light emanating from the Helo on his back dimmed, and Mike felt his body begin to shift.

Luna approached him, concern etched on her face. "Mike, what's happening?"

Mike gritted his teeth as his body contorted, his wings disappearing into his back. The chains slid out of his skin, leaving behind a trail of blood. The Helo's light flickered, then went dark.

Mike stumbled, his vision blurring. When he opened his eyes again, he saw his own reflection in a nearby window - he was back to his normal self, no longer a dark angel.

But the pain lingered, a reminder of his transformation. Mike took a deep breath, trying to shake off the discomfort. "Luna, we need to stop Geneessis. Judging from the look of this place am sure this is skyline City and I can see Geneessis still doesn't have control over it if not there poster will be everywhere."

Mike said and dragged her along as he walked towards his home area through muscle memory.

Lucifer, in his human form, sat in a dimly lit cafe, surrounded by his fellow demons. They were all in human guise, blending in seamlessly with the bustling streets of the city.

"Brothers and sisters," Lucifer began, his voice low and urgent. "The time has come to strike the final blow. Geneessis has weakened the city, and it's ripe for the taking."

One of the demons, a tall, imposing figure with piercing red eyes, spoke up. "But Lucifer, the city still has its defenses. We can't just walk in there and expect to take it over."

Lucifer smiled, his eyes glinting with malevolence. "Leave that to me. I have a plan. We will infiltrate the city, gather intelligence, and wait for the perfect moment to strike."

Another demon, a petite woman with long, curly hair, spoke up. "And what about Mike? He's still a wild card. We can't predict what he'll do."

Lucifer's smile grew wider. "Ah, Mike. He's no longer a threat. He's been gone for centuries, and even if he returns, he'll be no match for our combined strength."

The demons nodded in agreement, their faces twisted with cruel intent. They began to discuss their plan, their voices hushed but their excitement palpable.

As they spoke, Lucifer's eyes gleamed with anticipation. He could already taste the victory, the sweet triumph of finally conquering the last stronghold of humanity.

The leaders of Skyline, Mike's hometown, gathered in an emergency meeting, their faces grave with concern. They sat around a large table, maps and screens displaying the city's defenses.

"We need to come up with a new strategy," said Mayor Jenkins, his voice firm. "Geneessis's attacks are getting bolder by the day."

"I agree," said General Pierce, his eyes scanning the maps. "We need to take the fight to them, but we can't do it without more resources."

Just as they were about to discuss further, the room shook with an explosion. The doors burst open, and Geneessis's goons stormed in, led by none other than Councilor Owens, one of Skyline's own leaders.

"Surprise, my friends," Owens sneered, his eyes gleaming with betrayal. "I've been working with Geneessis all along. And now, it's time for Skyline to fall."

The leaders gasped in shock, outrage, and disbelief. Mayor Jenkins slammed his fist on the table. "Owens, you traitor!"

But Owens just laughed. "You're no match for Geneessis. And with my help, they'll crush you all."

The goons moved to take the leaders captive, but they fought back, refusing to go down without a fight. The battle was intense, with punches thrown, chairs shattered, and screens smashed.

Just as it seemed the leaders were gaining the upper hand, Owens pulled out a secret weapon - a device that emitted a strange energy field, weakening the leaders and allowing the goons to overpower them.

"Owens, you traitor!" Mayor Jenkins exclaimed, his face red with rage. "How could you betray us like this?"

Owens sneered. "You're just too weak, Jenkins. You think you can stand up to Geneessis? Ha! I'm the only one who truly understands what needs to be done."

General Pierce spat at Owens' feet. "You're a disgrace, Owens. You'll pay for this treachery."

Owens laughed. "I'm the one who'll be rewarded. Geneessis will make sure of it."

Councilor Rodriguez shook her head. "You're so blind, Owens. Geneessis doesn't care about you. You're just a pawn in his game."

Owens' smile faltered for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure. "Enough! You're just jealous that I saw the light before you did."

Just as the goons were about to drag the leaders away, a loud crash echoed through the room. The doors burst open, and Mike strode in, his eyes blazing with determination.

"Not so fast," Mike growled, his gaze fixed on the traitorous councilor.

Owens' eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure. "And who are you. The city is already mine."

Mike smiled grimly. "Not yet, it's not. And it never will be, as long as I'm still breathing."

With a fierce cry, Mike launched himself at Owens.
