Chereads / My Unique Class Is Herald of Death / Chapter 12 - Ling Yun'er

Chapter 12 - Ling Yun'er

Crash!

A sound of metal twisting sounded lightly next to him, specifically in his hand.

Only then did Ling Han come to himself and realize that he had gotten so excited earlier that he didn't control his strength, and the support railing was slightly twisted.

'It seems that I will have to control my strength more in the future,' Ling Han thought.

After all, his strength improved very quickly; to be exact, it hadn't even been a day since he entered the Infinite Staircase, and his attributes had shot up more than ten times.

If it weren't for the fact that he had always done countless combat and sword training every day, he feared he would be destroying everything in his path.

As for the reason for the training, it was simply that he had never completely lost hope of becoming a Guardian.

Even knowing that the chance was ridiculous, he never gave up!

Soon, he felt the train descending rapidly and prepared to get up.

Because that meant that the next stop had arrived.

After getting off at the train station, Ling Han quickly started walking to exit when a light hand touched his shoulders, causing him to turn and look.

"I saw what you did."

A girl who seemed to be only 16 years old appeared before his eyes as soon as he turned.

The girl had long, straight black hair and was wearing a school uniform that, for Ling Han, was extremely familiar because his sister studied at the same school.

However, Ling Han did not know her and was quite confused about what this girl was talking about.

"I didn't understand what you're talking about."

"What do you think? I saw what you did on the train! You twisted the iron support with just one hand."

"You must be a Guardian, right? That's so cool! I've never seen a Guardian in front of me, only in internet battles."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

Ling Han just shook his head slightly and prepared to leave. He didn't feel like discussing anything with kids at that moment.

He just wanted to get home and prepare for the leveling area tomorrow.

However, he couldn't walk even three steps before the girl spoke again.

"Wait, I'm sure of what I saw!"

"You are a Guardian! Why don't you show me some skills? I've always dreamed of seeing one."

"I don't have any."

Ling Han was already a bit irritated by these questions.

Who would have imagined that he had just become a Guardian and that a fan of Guardians would recognize him right after?

As for what he said, it wasn't a lie. Since he was still a Guardian without a classification, he didn't have any skills, except for the sense of death, which was a passive ability that couldn't be shown.

"You... you just don't want to show me."

"You doubt that if you keep talking to me like this, I will go to the station administration and tell what you did?"

The girl seemed a bit irritated to see Ling Han ignoring her and appeared in front of him with her hands on her hips, looking like a young queen.

Surely, the moment she heard that, Ling Han stopped walking and looked at her.

"Haha, I'm very smart," the girl thought before gaining confidence and starting to speak.

"How nice that you are self-aware! And that's why you shouldn't mess with this young lady..."

"Are you threatening me?"

Before she finished speaking, the girl heard these words from Ling Han, followed by an extremely intense look.

She felt that Ling Han in front of her looked like a monster about to devour her.

"No... no, I didn't threaten, I just..."

When she tried to explain, Ling Han had already disappeared in front of her, now dozens of meters away. Seeing this, she tried to shout, "Can I at least take a picture?"

However, the only answer she received was Ling Han disappearing into the crowd of people at the subway station.

"Damn, this Guardian is so stingy! Don't wait. I need to talk to Yun'er! Haha, she's going to be so jealous when she finds out I saw a Guardian in person!"

***

Soon, Ling Han had arrived at the door of his house, and the first thing he did was take off his Guardian bracelet from his arm before finally opening the door and entering.

As soon as he entered, he heard the sound of several pots falling to the floor, followed by a sweet voice that was approaching. "Brother, you arrived earlier!"

Ling Yun'er appeared in front of him with a slightly sad expression.

As a 17-year-old young woman, she already had a developed body, with beautiful black hair and purple streaks that particularly matched her purple pupils.

"What were you up to?" Ling Han did not let himself be fooled by that sad expression while he headed towards the kitchen, from where the sound of pots was coming.

Upon seeing the huge mess in the kitchen, Ling Han couldn't help but slightly shake his head as he listened to his sister's explanation. "Brother, it's all your fault for arriving early! I was planning to make a surprise dinner for you when you got home."

"And this mess?"

"That's normal when I cook; don't you know me? When I finished cooking, I would have cleaned up," said Ling Yun'er, pouting slightly.

"Forget it. Let's cook together! It's been a while since we did anything like this," Ling Han said lightly as he started to tidy things up.

In the next moment, the two began to chop the vegetables and prepare dinner.

Ling Han was generally a very busy and dedicated person. Since he couldn't become a Guardian, it not only diminished his ambition but also strengthened it, making him work harder every day to have a better life.

Therefore, he was truly enjoying this family moment.

As for Ling Yun'er, she did not blame Ling Han at all. After all, for her, Ling Han was much more than a brother; he was like a father who had taken care of her since her childhood.

She knew how many responsibilities he carried and everything Ling Han had done for her, and she respected this brother from the bottom of her heart.
