Leonora's face flushed a deep red as she pouted, setting down the spoon.
"But it's tasty!" Leonora protested, her bottom lip jutting out in an exaggerated pout. "And, it's been a while since I've had them."
Edoardo pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to summon patience. "Leonora, normal people grab a sandwich or maybe a protein bar. You've created a science experiment with snacks."
She raised her spoon defiantly. "I don't judge your boring water and plain sandwich, do I?"
He stared at her, then at the concoction, and back at her. "You should."
Leonora narrowed her eyes, but the corners of her mouth twitched, betraying her amusement. "You're just jealous you didn't think of it first."
"I think my stomach just filed a restraining order against you," he deadpanned, but his lips twitched too, the hint of a smile betraying his stern facade.
