sapnap landed on the ground with a huff. after about 8 minutes of climbing down, he finally was on the ground his tail flicking back and forth. without another thought. he bolted. he was free from his room. but not free from the castle. he needed to get beyond the castle walls... perhaps the docks?
sapnap snuck through the bushes. he should have waited for night. to late now.
sapnap had to keep his tail and the cloak from getting caught. the guards were patroling making sure no one got in. thankfully. sapnap was trying to get out. not in. sapnap waited for one of the patrols to go by before slipping onto the docks. it was then that sapnap started questioning, can he even paddle a boat? did he even know? was he going to have to swim? could his swim without his inner fire going out?
internal fire was how sapnap kept his body warm.. and how he was still alive. his body needed the extreme heat. its also how his dads made him.
sapnap disregarded his concerns as he walked to the small row boat near the end of the docks. skeppy and bad didn't like a big fancy boat in their personal dock. sure. they had them in the official royal docks. but not one for their times alone. sapnap wasnt allowed to get one. because if he fell into the water he would have to be put into literal lava to save him from an untimely demise. sure. the water was an enemy. but right now. he had no other ways.
sapnap put the paddles in their place and began rowing. it was hard work and Sapnap wanted to be done before he started. it was hard. he didn't like that. but he powered through. he rowed out and along the land. making sure to stay out of sight. he saw a little river entrance a bit away. he turned into it. it looked like a calm river.
sapnap could feel the current so he took the paddles from the boat. and let it float along. sapnap was looking around in amazement. the forest was beautiful. the animals were running about. it was peaceful in a way.. and nice. it made sapnap want to fall asleep. until the current started speeding up.
sapnap grabbed the ores and tried to even out. his heart pounding as the river started to get rough. the little boat was rocking. and sapnap was being tossed with it. sapnap kept trying. until the boat flipped over. sapnap let out a startled screech as he was thrown into the water.
sapnap didn't know what exactly happened. one second, he was in the water. now. he was on the shore. his hood pulled down. his eyes opened... is that a... purple sweater? he wasn't able to keep his eyes open much longer. he felt the grow heavy as he closed his eyes
