8 AM on the weekend
There was a knock at Shun's house.
"Who are you?"
Shun looked at the middle-aged man in front of him with slight hesitation.
"Takema-sama, I apologize for disturbing your rest."
The middle-aged man bowed to apologize, then slightly bent and spoke respectfully:
"I am the driver of Kashiwagi Ojou-sama. I will take you to the Kashiwagi residence today."
Shun suddenly remembered that they indeed had an appointment today.
He had been busy studying Flying Thunder God on Friday and Saturday and had almost lost track of time.
Thinking about this, Shun felt dizzy. After two days of research, he found that mastering Flying Thunder God required talent in space-time ninjutsu; otherwise, he wouldn't be able to control this technique at all.
In a short time, he wouldn't be able to learn such ninjutsu.
"The car is downstairs. Takema-sama, please come down. If you need anything, feel free to ask me."
"No, I'll come down after I shower."
Shun asked the driver to wait while he returned to take care of himself and get dressed simply.
After he came down, a Bentley Mulsanne had been waiting by the roadside. Seeing Shun approach, the driver immediately stepped forward and opened the door.
Once inside the car, the driver recalled the woman's explanation and spoke carefully:
"Takema-sama, the President went to invite other experts to help host today. Now only Kashiwagi Ojou-sama is waiting for you at the house."
After saying that, the driver closed his mouth and became an instrument for driving.
Shun was slightly taken aback.
No wonder there was a car coming to pick him up this early. It turned out to be Nagisa's trick.
The invitation to him and the sale of magical weapons by the onmyoji was probably half the reason.
Twenty minutes later
The car drove toward a very large noble house. When the door opened, half of the greenery resembling a maze was trimmed into various shapes.
After driving for three minutes, Shun got out of the car and entered the Kashiwagi family home.
After being escorted to the living room by a servant, he heard an argument between Kaguya and Nagisa from a distance.
"Why are you here?"
Her complicated plan was being executed by Kaguya, her romantic rival, and even Nagisa couldn't control her emotions for a moment.
"I contacted President Kashiwagi earlier, and with his approval, I came to meet the onmyoji from Hokkaido today."
Kaguya's dismissive statement made Nagisa grit her teeth.
The two women continued their previous confrontation. Shun firmly waited outside the door for half an hour, and then entered after the situation inside quieted down.
Sure enough, both women were now silent and said nothing.
Shun pretended nothing had happened and chatted with Kaguya about the student council elections. Nagisa occasionally interjected, and after the three of them discussed the matter seriously, they actually became quite harmonious.
Gradually, Shun made a decision.
Nagisa was most suitable for the position of the main wife. She could provide good advice to her husband, analyze various matters, and was very sharp.
Kaguya was a standard successor. She mostly resolved issues with a cold superior attitude. She also liked to use some dirty tricks and was not hesitant to use her family's resources.
If he married these two, although Shun would have to manage a large group, he might be able to do so easily as long as he wasn't foolish.
'There must be a way for them to live harmoniously!'
Shun quietly made a decision.
A few minutes later, President Kashiwagi came in with an elderly woman.
Kashiwagi Ichiro and Shun were quite satisfied after chatting for a while and introduced the elderly woman he had invited to the three of them.
God Mother Takeda Mitsue!
When Shun heard that name, he immediately recalled the origins of the other party.
Once, Takeda Mitsue worked as a mysterious psychic in a small shop on the roadside. She could vaguely see spirits, and the beads that could repel evil spirits were refillable for 30,000 yen.
According to the trajectory of her original work, after meeting Miko, Mitsue would give magic beads for free out of goodwill and make them with all her strength when she was young, but those beads would explode. After one of the beads hit her face, Mitsue became disheartened and decided to retire and return to the countryside to work on a farm with her son.
However, the world had changed a lot now, and Mitsue, with her special abilities, had naturally become an expert in Ichiro's mouth.
"Though the onmyoji today is guaranteed by my former business partner, it's still wise to be cautious."
Shun nodded, and Kaguya, who had come in, also quietly remembered the old woman's face.
Being able to invite Kashiwagi Ichiro to take over, it seemed that this extraordinary being must have a good character. If there were problems in the future, the other party might be able to help.
A few people were seated and had just served tea when they heard the sound of visitors outside.
The leader was a gangster-looking man, dressed in branded clothing and sporting a beard. He looked to be about the same age as Ichiro, with a habit of smiling.
Behind him was an onmyoji wearing a black hat, a plain white hunting coat, and unadorned white nails. He appeared to be in his fifties, with proud eyes, and he walked into the hall step by step.
Ichiro stood to greet him, and Nagisa, beside Shun, like a virtuous wife, gently explained in his ear:
"The one in front is named Nakamura Makoto. He has been involved in foreign trade and has cooperated with the Kashiwagi family for seven or eight years. However, he has run some not-so-good industries, so my father still worries about him a bit."
Shun nodded, passing by the man and staring directly at the onmyoji in the hunting outfit behind him.
He indeed sensed a "spiritual power" in the opponent's body, and Mitsue clearly did not possess much of that power. But compared to the monster in the lake, this onmyoji was somewhat unsatisfactory as a monster.
"Uesugi-sama, please take a seat." Ichiro approached, smiling and greeting.
"No need, my time is very valuable."
Uesugi flicked the folding fan in his hand, and his sense of superiority and arrogance almost overflowed.
'This is how these people treat ordinary folks after they gain extraordinary power...'
Shun shook his head and said nothing.
Ichiro's expression froze, but then he restored his smile and pulled out a bank card, handing it over.
"Alright, please show me the treasure that is to be sold."
After seeing the bank card, Uesugi's face suddenly brightened. After putting away his folding fan, he said:
"Then let's go outside."
Everyone complied and went to the garden courtyard.
Uesugi looked at the sun, then extended his hand with satisfaction, and a black magatama adorned with stone beads suddenly appeared in his hand.
From its appearance alone, it didn't seem too remarkable.
Kaguya approached Shun and gently asked:
"Takema-kun, is that real? A magic weapon?"
Kaguya's voice was very soft, but it was clearly heard by Uesugi. He immediately frowned and impatiently scolded:
"What does this child know! He's just an ordinary human, and asking your little boyfriend is like asking a blind person!"
Kaguya was slightly angry at first, but after hearing the term "little boyfriend", she pursed her lips tightly to prevent herself from laughing happily.
However, Shun chuckled, ignoring her, and quietly released the chakra induction technique.
The essence of chakra induction is to sense the existence of chakra energy. After Shun absorbed the spiritual power, it could also be used to sense spiritual power.
His eyes ignored what was called the magatama but stared at the cracked stone beads inside it.
'That's it; the magatama outside is used to intimidate people, but the cracked stone beads inside, which might break after a few uses, are the real core.'
Shun sensed spiritual power emanating from the damaged place and immediately understood that the other party was here to steal money.
Magatama has a special status in Japanese mythology, so the outer part is adorned with nice jade, and the small beads inside indeed have spiritual power. It was estimated that it could deceive many people.
Shun looked at the other party's routine with a sense of amusement on his lips.
Makoto and Ichiro, who still didn't understand, looked at this rumored magical weapon in a fashionable and passionate way, and Nagisa also looked at it with curiosity.
After a moment, Ichiro diverted his gaze and looked at the invited elderly woman.
"Grandma Mitsue, sorry to disturb you."
"President Kashiwagi, it's alright."
The old woman grinned, then walked up with a serious expression. The beads in her hand kept flowing, and she looked very extraordinary with her momentum honed over the years.
Uesugi panicked and subconsciously pulled back the magatama.
Makoto also quickly stepped forward to block the way.
