Grace and Tom wood,were from Upton,they were rich traders that,bought hardware goods from the capital and sold these goods in Upton and other towns,they were known as one of the richest human families,and apart from being rich they had connections outside the human towns. But the couple had no children,so they were looking to adopt,the reason they came to Darmoth.

After Dinner,
Leah and Melanie,arms entwined start talking about the upcoming fair,the fair was one of the events that took place at least once in three months,the Sisters let them go out as they like and spend the day out of the orphanage environment till the evening of the that day,so the fair was really important to the children of Darmoth orphanage.
Leah and Melanie were basically having a full on blast thinking about the tons of things they would buy,with the money David left for Leah,when some set of kids started running around the dorms shouting.
"VISITORS ,VISITORS" .
Leah, Melanie and rest kids knew what that meant,someone was going to be adopted today,the shouts beforehands were the tradition of all gates,so that anyone doing anything that upset the sisters would stop and be on their best behaviors.
Leah and Melanie,immediately sped up to their rooms,the last thing Leah wanted was to be adopted when David had not come back.For some reason her mind flashed to the woman,she met before dinner,they had to be the ones about to adopt,before then another sister patricia entered the South Gate and announced the kids of the different dorms to stand in a single file,so the visitors could easily see them.
A few moments later Grace and Tom wood,followed by Sister Vivian entered into the South Gate,and they started looking at the kids,after some time they arrived at room 11,very close to Leah's room number.
Mrs Grace on sighting Leah,while taking a look at the kids in room11,skipped to their dorm line and stood close to Leah,saying.
"Tom,this is the little girl,I was telling you about, let's adopt her",Grace took a liking to Leah,immediately she saw her in front of the matron's office,she taught taking rounds around the orphanage would change her mind about Leah,but it didn't,she still wanted to adopt Leah.
Tom walked over to them,Vivian spoke up saying,
"I see you still want Leah,ok then,Leah dear, come over.
Leah,stood in the line not moving,thousands of thoughts filled her head,there's no way,she's getting adopted,what about David,how will he find her.
"Leah!!"
The matron called her name again,she still didn't move from the line.Everyone was watching her ,the kids,the sisters and the woman and her husband.
"There no way,she leaving this orphanage till David comes back,finally gathering courage she said,
"I'm sorry Mrs wood,but my brother is not back,I can't leave this orphanage,what if he comes to find me in the future."
