The morning sun was warm against the golden fields of Dihua Marsh, casting a glimmering light over the water as Ganyu made her way along the winding paths that led toward the hills beyond. Today was a special day—she was leading a small group of adventurers from the Ministry of Civil Affairs on a mission to observe the new Pokémon habitats that had formed in the more secluded areas of Liyue. Wild Pokémon had begun appearing in abundance, creating vibrant and ever-evolving ecosystems, and it was becoming more and more important for Liyue's people to understand these creatures.
Walking alongside Ganyu was Yanfei, who had taken a particular interest in the sudden appearance of the Pokémon in the area. Pichu trotted happily at her feet, occasionally running ahead to chase after a buzzing Cutiefly, while Ganyu's Snorunt remained close, its eyes wide with curiosity as it watched the marsh.
"I have to say, Ganyu," Yanfei said, a playful grin tugging at her lips, "I think I could make a case for some new regulations on how to handle wild Pokémon in public areas. They do have a tendency to cause... well, mischief." She glanced pointedly at Pichu, who had just managed to trip over a particularly enthusiastic Cutiefly.
Ganyu smiled, nodding thoughtfully. "You're probably right, Yanfei. With so many Pokémon appearing, we need to make sure that the people of Liyue know how to coexist peacefully with them. But I think it's a wonderful opportunity as well—learning about these Pokémon and finding ways to protect their habitats."
Yanfei leaned down, picking up Pichu and setting it on her shoulder. "Agreed. And hey, it's not like we haven't dealt with magical creatures before, right? We just need to understand them better." She paused, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "And maybe figure out how to keep them from eating all the street food."
Ganyu giggled, her soft laughter carrying over the marsh. "Yes, that too. I've heard some complaints about that already." She gestured ahead. "Look, I think I see something up there—let's go take a look."
---
They made their way through the marsh until they reached a small clearing nestled amongst the hills. Ganyu's eyes widened in awe at the sight before them. There, amidst the reeds and flowers, was a small group of wild Pokémon—Buneary, Lotad, and even a couple of Budew—happily basking in the sunlight. The clearing had transformed into a little haven, with wildflowers blooming in colors Ganyu had never seen before.
"Wow," Yanfei whispered, her voice filled with wonder. "It's incredible. They seem so at peace here."
Pichu wriggled out of Yanfei's grasp, hopping down to join the Buneary, who looked at it curiously before hopping over to play. Ganyu knelt down, watching with a soft smile as Snorunt joined in, its round body bouncing excitedly.
"It's like they've made a little community here," Ganyu said, her voice barely above a whisper. "They're not just surviving—they're thriving."
Yanfei nodded, her eyes scanning the clearing. "It's like they're bringing new life to these places. I mean, Liyue has always been beautiful, but this... it's something else."
Ganyu looked at Yanfei, her eyes thoughtful. "It's true. And I think it's important that we learn from them, that we understand how to keep this balance." She paused, then added with a shy smile, "Maybe we could even work on a guide—something to help people understand how to interact with the Pokémon."
Yanfei's eyes lit up. "That's a great idea, Ganyu! We could put together some information on their habits, what they like, how to avoid upsetting them... I think that would really help. And you know what? It sounds like a fun project."
Ganyu's smile widened. "I think so too. Let's do it."

As the day wore on, they continued exploring the new ecosystem, documenting the Pokémon they encountered and observing how they interacted with their surroundings. At one point, they came across a small group of Diglett, their heads popping up and down in unison as they dug tunnels through the earth.
Yanfei laughed, crouching down to get a closer look. "Look at them go! It's like they're playing a game of hide and seek."
Pichu, seeing the Diglett, immediately bounded over, attempting to mimic their movements by jumping up and down, much to the amusement of Yanfei and Ganyu. One of the Diglett poked its head up right next to Pichu, and for a moment, the two simply stared at each other, before Pichu let out an excited "Pichu!" and the Diglett disappeared underground once again.
Yanfei grinned, looking over at Ganyu. "I think Pichu's found a new friend."
Ganyu chuckled, shaking her head. "It seems so. It's amazing to see how easily Pokémon can form bonds with each other—and with us."
As they made their way back toward the village, they heard a familiar voice calling out. "Ganyu! Yanfei!" It was Zhongli, his Slowpoke following lazily behind him. He approached with his usual calm demeanor, a small smile on his face as he nodded in greeting.
"Ah, Mr. Zhongli," Ganyu said, bowing slightly. "What brings you here?"
"I was informed that you were observing the new Pokémon habitats today," Zhongli replied. "I thought it would be prudent to see these changes for myself. After all, Liyue's landscape is undergoing quite the transformation, and it is important that we understand what this means for the balance of our region."
Slowpoke let out a slow yawn, settling down on the grass beside the group, seemingly content to rest while they talked.
Yanfei nodded in agreement. "We've seen some amazing things today. The Pokémon are really changing the way these areas look and feel. It's like they're adding a whole new layer of life."
Zhongli knelt down, examining the glowing flowers that had begun to grow near the edge of the clearing. "Indeed. It is as if the Pokémon bring with them a connection to the land that is both magical and natural. They are not simply creatures—they are a part of the very world they inhabit."
Ganyu looked at Zhongli, her eyes filled with curiosity. "Do you think this change is something we should be wary of?"
Zhongli was silent for a moment, considering her question. Then he shook his head, a gentle smile on his face. "No, Ganyu. I do not believe this is something to fear. It is true that change brings uncertainty, but it also brings opportunity. The Pokémon have chosen to make Liyue their home, and it is our duty to ensure that this home remains a place of harmony—for both people and Pokémon."
Yanfei smiled, nodding. "Well said, Mr. Zhongli. And I think that with all of us working together, we can make sure that happens."

The sun was beginning to set as they made their way back to Liyue Harbor, the sky painted in shades of orange and pink. The journey had been a long one, but it was filled with moments of wonder and connection. The wild Pokémon, the new habitats, the bonds that had formed—it was all a reminder of the beauty of change, of the magic that had come into their lives.
As they approached the city, Hiroshi appeared, Zekrom beside him, its large form casting a long shadow across the cobblestones. Hiroshi raised a hand in greeting, his eyes brightening as he spotted Ganyu and Yanfei.
"Ah, you're back! How was your exploration today?" Hiroshi asked, his voice filled with enthusiasm.
Ganyu smiled, her eyes meeting Hiroshi's. "It was wonderful, Hiroshi. The Pokémon are truly becoming part of Liyue, and we've learned so much about their habitats today."
Zekrom rumbled, its deep voice resonating. "The land speaks through the Pokémon, and they in turn speak to the hearts of those who listen. It is a bond that must be nurtured."
Yanfei nodded, her eyes twinkling. "And that's exactly what we're going to do. We've got some ideas for how to help people understand the Pokémon better. Guides, information—anything we can do to make sure that everyone knows how to interact with them."
Hiroshi's smile widened. "That's great to hear. The more we understand each other, the better this world will be for all of us. Humans, Pokémon, and everything in between."
As they walked back into the harbor, the lights of Liyue began to twinkle, the city alive with the sounds of people and Pokémon alike. And as the night fell over Liyue, Ganyu, Yanfei, Zhongli, and Hiroshi knew that this was only the beginning of their journey—a journey of discovery, of connection, and of endless possibilities.
