After visiting the electronics store and the food court, Soren still seemed far from satisfied with his curiosity about the modern world. I was about to head home with the ring when a nearby arcade caught my eye.
"What's that?" Soren's voice rang in my mind, excitement tinging his tone.
Following his gaze, I saw neon lights flashing brightly in the arcade. Children were screaming and laughing around a giant racing simulator, while some adults engaged in intense battles at the fighting game machines.
"It's the arcade," I replied casually. "People come here to play games and relax."
"Games?" Soren's voice was filled with confusion. "Are these flashing devices some kind of combat training?"
I couldn't help but laugh. "If you want to think of it that way, sure."
"Let me see," his tone grew more eager. "What makes these 'games' so special?"
