"Sure, sure." I surrendered with a sigh, lounging on the sofa. "But are you sure you want to leave me here alone? After all, you know I still have that restless ring on my finger."
"I trust you." Ariana said calmly, pointing at my head. "The problem isn't the ring; it's your mind. Use it to protect yourself."
"You're really good at encouraging people," I rolled my eyes, watching her turn to leave.
When the door closed behind her, the entire room went silent. I let out a sigh, preparing to enjoy this rare moment of peace, but then, Soren's voice echoed in my mind.
