The first rays of dawn bathed the academy grounds in soft light, but the atmosphere was anything but serene. Students from all divisions gathered in the grand amphitheater, the buzz of anticipation thick in the air. Banners of Sunrise, Moonfall, and Starcross hung overhead, their respective colors shimmering under enchantments that kept them perpetually moving. The inter-division trials had officially begun.
Luna stood with Ren at the edge of the staging area, the steady rhythm of her breathing doing little to quell the adrenaline coursing through her veins. Ren, as usual, seemed far too relaxed, leaning against the railing with his arms crossed.
"Looks like a full house," Ren said, nodding toward the packed stands. "Think they're all here to see us?"
