Of course I wanted to listen to Mom about everything but I do want to check out some of those restaurants in the kingdom. I've got some silver coins so as long as I'm quick it shouldn't matter all that much.
Shinji took a quick look at the mirror in the bathroom before he left since he was curious if anything stood out about him. He has short black hair that goes a bit past his neck, blue eyes, he still has this blank expression on his face, and was wearing a black shirt, blue jean like pants, and simple black shoes.
I think I'll be fine, nothing looks wrong with me so there shouldn't be any problems. He gives a small shrug after that and makes his way for the inner kingdom. Following the road towards the main square where most of the stalls and restaurants were.
He could see people all over the square with all these different symbols on his face but he was more focused on the stall ahead of him.
A small stall with a sign above it reading out the name "Takumi's Delights." While someone prepared some sort of pastry on the other side.
Mom never said I couldn't have something sweet so it would be nice to try it for the first time. As long as I still keep up with my normal protein intakes and my normal workout routines then I'll be good.
He didn't notice that everyone around him was staring at him with a disgusted look on their face. His eyes were fixated on the menu where he began to read each item.
Takumi's Specials
• Strawberry Cream Puff.
• Cheese Cake Slice
• Chocolate Slice
The man behind the counter immediately interrupted his train of thought as he tried to ask him what he wants.
"Do you know what you want?" The Man asks without realizing there isn't a symbol on his face.
Shinji starts scratching his head while looking at the menu.
What do I want? They all sound pretty good so maybe I should just get one of each and see what one is the best.
"Aaaa, one of each." Shinji says with a bit of drool going down his mouth.
Shinji wasn't necessarily the brightest kid but he at least had something going for him, this guy was built from all the training.
"5 Silver." The man responds while extending his hand.
Oh yeah, I do have to pay for these. He unclenches his hand and the coins fall into the man's hand. All bent, a shocked expression was on his face.
Maybe I should just ask for the coins back quickly. "Sorry about that, let me fix that quick." Shinji says sincerely while taking the coins back.
Without any hesitation he bends the coins back to normal and then hands them back to the man. After that the man quickly gives him a bag with the sweets inside.
"Thank you." Shinji says before walking away.
The man was left without any words while he watched Shinji walk away. Everyone continues to watch him while someone quickly makes a report to the Veloria Magic Authorities.
Hmm it all smells really good but Mom is probably going to be mad when I get back home. Would it have been better to ask her for these? It doesn't seem like anything happened from me coming here.
I can't believe this all was only five silver coins, feels pretty low for a bunch of sweet treats. He looks in the bag as he's walking and sees all of the different varieties in the bag.
Bump. He walks into something as he's walking.
"What the hell are you doing here?" An angry sounding man asks while standing before him.
Shinji looks up from the bag with a blank expression on his face. "Sweet treats. Want one?" Shinji asks with no emotion in his voice.
The man just started to get angrier as he looked at Shinji's face. "Are you stupid or something kid. You don't belong here and all you have to say is, do I want a treat? Get out of here you freak." The man responds with an angry expression on his face.
He kind of tilts his head and starts to mutter to himself. "I'll go home." He says before walking past the man.
I don't know what that was about but I needed to head home anyway. Did it bother me or was it something completely different that I felt?
He manages to make his way back to the house without much of a problem but he remembers how nice it looked inside the inner kingdom.
I would love to head back there again but I don't think it'll be something that can be done too often.
Creak. As he enters the house he can see Yuko sitting at the table waiting for him. "Where'd you go Shinji?" Yuko asks with her arms crossed.
Huhhh I guess she knows where I went already. "I got sweets. Would you like one?" Shinji asks while pulling one out of the bag.
He pulls out one of the slices of cake and holds it out for her. "My poor boy. Yes I take a slice but you do know that it wasn't good for you to go there right?" Yuko responds while taking the slice.
Meanwhile Shinji already has a cupcake in his mouth. Nom. Nom. Nom.
A chocolate cupcake isn't too bad but I wonder how the cream puff is, then there's also the cheese cake. So many things to taste.
"Shinji! Are you even listening to me. Sigh." Yuko shouts before letting out a sigh.
Oh yeah, Yuko was yelling at me about something. What exactly was it again?
"Sorry. These are good." Shinji manages to say with his face stuff.
She just shakes her head and takes a seat back at the table. "Now I have to find a way to deal with this whole thing." Yuko thinks to herself.
