Chapter 11 - Mei Ting Would Never Win Against Me

Mei Ting and Luo Chen walked out of the hall, hands entwined together.

Reporters swamp around them immediately after they step out of the hotel. A black car was already at the entrance waiting for them.

However, the reporters blocked the Path to the car. "Mr. Luo, how did you get married to Mei Ting?"

"Mei Ting, how do you feel being the new Chairwoman?"

Luo Chen clutched tightly at Mei Ting. Three men in black walked through the crowd of reporters. They made a barricade with their hand as they got to the front. Mei Ting and Luo Chen walked easily to their car.

Mei Ting held the letter and her purse closely in her hand. When she stepped into the car, she sat at the end of one side creating a space between herself and Luo Chen. Luo Chen understood that she may want to be alone

Everything happened so fast that she didn't get the chance to wrap her head around things.

Just yesterday, she was accused of murdering Madam Li and was thrown into prison unjustly, and today, she is the new Chairwoman of the corporation.

Mei Ting trailed her hand over the letter. She was curious about its content; what could Madam Li have written in there?

She inhaled sharply and opened it.

Li Weiyoung walked after Mr. Wu. She didn't stop when he stepped out of the hall. Stretching out her hand, she pulled him. Mr. Wu stopped and turned.

They stood in the middle of the hallway, and murmuring from the hall could be heard.

"Miss, Li Weiyoung, is there anything I can help you with?" He asked looking at her through his glasses.

Li Weiyoung brushed her hair; she tried to steady her emotion, reminding herself that Mr. Wu was just the executor.

"The will, where is the original will?" She questioned.

"What do you mean?"

"The will you read a while ago, that isn't from my mother right?" She shook her head. "no, it can't be from my mother. She can't do this to me." She said more to herself than to Mr. Wu.

"That is Madam Li's will." Mr. Wu held on to his suitcase. He wasn't the most patient man.

"If you have anything to discuss about it, you'll have to meet Li Weiyoung. Now, if you'll excuse me." He walked away, leaving Li Weiyoung in the middle of the hallway.

Li Weiyoung felt her head spinning. Everywhere was beginning to get blurry.

She clenched her hands by her side as she watched Mr Wu leave.

Her breath heightened up. On hearing footsteps behind her, she turned. Sara stood behind her.

"The meeting with the reporter, would it still hold?" She asked. With her face turned to the side, Li Weiyoung replied, "Prepare the car this instant."

Li Weiyoung took the private elevator down to the underground car park.

There were cars on each side, and a bright white light illuminated the place. A car pulled in front of her. Sara stepped out and opened the door for her.

The car zoomed off.

Li Weiyoung walked as fast as she could to the study which once belonged to her mother

The study has been cleaned on the instruction of Sara Wang. The photos of her mother were thrown aside and replaced by photos of her. All her documents have also been moved to the study.

Li Weiyoung's heart hammered against her chest. She unclenched her fist, walked straight towards the table, and pushed off everything on it.

How can this happen to her? How did this happen to her?

"Everything is supposed to be mine." The name tag that was placed on the table alongside the glass award she had been given two years ago all rushed to the floor.

Stepping towards the shelf, she began taking out the books and throwing them all on the floor.

Sara Wang was in the room, but she dared not step close to her. She held a glass of water firmly in her hand and flinched each time there was a crack.

When she was satisfied she stood in the middle of the room, hands on her waist.

Li Weiyoung's laugh echoed through the room, reverberating in the hall as she surrendered to her emotions.

"This sly woman. How could she do this?" She yelled at the top of her voice. "I walked hard all my life for this. I did all I could to please her, but what? She handed everything to Mei Ting. A stranger?"

Bad sweat dripped down from the side of her face.

"No, I can't allow this. This mansion, the company, EVERYTHING. Everything is mine. I refuse to share them. I must take them back. I can't-" her knees grew weak and she fell to the ground.

She sat in that position for a long time, calculating. Since Madam Li had decided to give everything to Mei Ting, she would not rest until she takes it, it rightfully belongs to her.

"I did all I could from a young age; I have been raised to succeed my mother as the chairwoman." She paused, reminiscing all she had down, both the legal and illegal things.

"I became the evil one, I became the unfilial daughter. But I endured all she did and now…" her eyes grew moist with tears.

"I should have made sure Mei Ting died from the poison. That was my mistake." She stood.

If she couldn't kill her then, she would not rest until she does now.

Sara Wang stepped forward and she handed the glass of water to her. "I don't think there is anything to worry about. Mei Ting doesn't know anything about running a company; the shareholders and board of directors will never allow her to become the next chairwoman."

Li Weiyoung tightened her hold around the glass. Sara Wang had a point, "You can get the company from her in no time."

She took a slow sip from the water.

She took in deep breaths, collecting her thoughts. Suddenly an idea hit her.

"First, I'll visit Mei Ting." She said, steading her breath. She had no time to cry; she wiped off the tears that threatened her face.

"I am Li Weiyoung, Mei Ting would never win against me."
