Chapter 15 - CHAPTER 15:THE FIRE BETWEEN US

Vanessa's body was still trembling from the effects of the morning sickness, but the warmth that Vincenzo radiated brought her a sense of safety she hadn't expected. As the doctor had left, promising she'd be fine, the lingering desire in the air was undeniable.

Vincenzo's gaze softened as he sat beside her, his eyes never leaving hers. There was something in the way he looked at her now, an intensity that made the room feel too small, like the walls were closing in. He was just inches away, his breath warm against her skin. She could feel the heat building between them, something primal, something neither of them had dared to confront until now.

He leaned in, brushing his lips against hers with a gentleness that belied the hunger in his eyes. She didn't pull back, but instead allowed herself to be pulled in closer, her body pressing against his as the kiss deepened. His hands slid to her waist, pulling her closer as if he couldn't get enough of her.

"I've waited so long for this," Vincenzo murmured against her lips, his voice low, thick with desire. His words sent a shiver down her spine.

Vanessa's pulse raced as the kiss became more desperate, their bodies moving in sync, hands exploring, pulling, tugging at clothes in a frenzy. The hunger that had been smoldering between them burst into flames as Vincenzo's touch grew bolder. His lips trailed down her neck, his teeth grazing lightly over her skin. Vanessa's breath hitched, her body reacting to his touch without hesitation.

She reached for him, her fingers tugging at his shirt, desperate to feel more of him. "Vincenzo," she whispered, her voice trembling, but her heart and body ached for him in ways she hadn't realized. The space between them closed completely as their lips met again, this time harder, more urgent.

Vincenzo's hands slid under her shirt, his fingertips trailing lightly along her skin, sending sparks wherever they touched. Vanessa's back arched into him, every nerve on fire. She could feel the growing need between them, a deep, primal connection she couldn't fight.

"Tell me you want this," he whispered, his lips brushing her ear.

Vanessa could hardly catch her breath, but she managed to answer, her voice thick with longing. "I do," she breathed, her hands moving to the buttons of his pants.

Their movements became frantic as their desire took over, their kisses desperate and full of promise. The room seemed to spin as they finally came together, the world outside vanishing. All that mattered was the heat of their bodies, the fire that connected them.

When it was over, they lay tangled together on the couch, breathless and spent. Vincenzo's fingers gently traced circles on her arm, a sense of contentment washing over him. "I love you, Vanessa," he murmured, his voice still thick with emotion.

She smiled softly, her hand resting over his heart. "I love you too," she whispered, feeling the weight of his love and protection wash over her.

But just as they began to settle into the quiet of the moment, there was a knock at the door.

Vincenzo pulled away reluctantly, his eyes dark with desire but his expression quickly shifting to concern. Vanessa, still flushed, looked at him with a soft laugh. "I'll be fine," she whispered.

Vincenzo kissed her forehead before moving to answer the door. Brain stood there, looking slightly out of breath from his return. His eyes softened when he saw Vanessa, but there was no hiding the surprise that flashed across his face when his gaze landed on her neck, where a dark mark—Vincenzo's hickey—was clearly visible.

Brain cleared his throat but didn't comment, his gaze flickering between the two of them. "I heard you weren't feeling well, so I came to check on you."

Vanessa tried to smooth her hair, but it was clear that something had changed between her and Vincenzo. She could feel the heat of his touch still lingering on her skin.

"I'm fine, really," she reassured him, but Brain's eyes stayed on her, a knowing glint in them.

Vincenzo stood protectively by her side, his arm around her waist. "We'll talk later," he said firmly, his gaze flickering toward the door.

Brain nodded, his lips twitching into a knowing smirk. "I'll leave you two alone." He turned to leave, but not before one last glance at Vanessa, his eyes flickering to the mark on her neck before he disappeared into the hallway.

Vanessa couldn't help but smile softly, her fingers tracing the spot where Vincenzo had marked her. When she turned back to him, her eyes locked with his, a promise hanging between them. The passion wasn't over yet. It was only the beginning.
