Flash back
There was a crash as the driver lost control of the vehicle, mashing into a trailer as the voices of people and sirens were heard from outside the car.
There in the car a man and woman was in the passenger seat of the car. In the middle was a boy at the age of sixteen, who was covered by both the man and the woman with blood dripping down their faces. As light fade then darkness every where was quite.
Light came steadily,the setting of an hospital to view the sound of beeping could be heard. There the boy from earlier was in the ER ward, lying on a hospital bed, with a blood bag and drip attached to his hands and an oxygen mask strapped at his nostrils he was struggling to live.
He saw the steward sitting next to him with heads bowed down to the ground as if he was crying, he eventually looked up with appreciation in his eyes" mater Jaden it's going to be okay
Present day: Jaden pov
A man in an office fit for a president was lost in his computer, he was busy with his working schedule he had lots to do.
He was in his looking in his twenties, but he wasn't he wasn't he just clocked two thousand in vampire years. he was tall, had a well-built body, and his eye color was black but not the normal average person's black eye. His Iris was a glossy fuller that went well with his dark hair, his face was so flawless from the structure of his cheek bones to chin, with his thin peach coloured lips.
He was wearing a satin-like black button-down shirt that was shining in the light sun from the glass walls behind him.
"Sir, Mr. Willam is looking for you. Should I let him in?" His secretary announced through the phone.
" Yeah." He said not shifting his attention from his computer, as the door opened someone walked in.
" Hey, coz," James said as he walked into the room.
James is his cousin from his father's side who served as a spy for Jaden and also his best friend; his mother was Jaden's father's Sister.
James was a bit younger than Jaden he just but the almost look alike but his her was lighter than Jaden, and he didn't have his eyes.
" Your uncle is letting power go to his head." James said sitting down on the chair opposite Jaden
" Not for long,his your uncle too." He said looking up at his cousin who was opposite him.
" So how's the plan coming along?" He asked with excitement, "Let's kick that motherf**ker out of the thrown." He added
" Patient just wait." Jaden said he rounded up his work; then he stood up, heading towards the door. He entered the lobby straight into his private elevator, as James followed.
He got in and closed his eyes resting on the elevator wall
" Thinking about Dagger?" James said with concern looking at him.
Dagger was his guardian after his parents died; he was his steward to Jaden's family as a disguise and distraction to what he really was: an experienced assassin working hand in hand with Dragon, the greatest mafia, in his teenage years.
Luckily for them, Jaden's father had already taught him the vampire ways and how to use his special gift. Dagger loved Jaden so much he got attached to Jaden when he was working for his parent. He couldn't leave him alone when his parent died, he knew he was ruthless but at this point in his life he actually felt compassion.
He handled the business because he didn't want the company to fall, plus so Jaden wouldn't be stranded when he was old enough to take care of himself.
He took him to Dragon sometimes because he was running the company and his other life. He wished he could have led Jaden away from his life, but there was nowhere else to keep him safe. He didn't want his identity to leak out, away from FBI's, supernatural geek's, and angry mobs.
He became a parent figure to Jaden and the apple of the dragon's eyes. They thought him all they knew, Dragon made him second in command, because he was the best knowing fully aware was a vampire which gave Dragon advantage over other gangs.
Dragon was sentenced to death by the CIA this made Jaden hate the CIA and troubled them alot.
Then Dagger died of cancer this mad Jaden almost ran mad, his only father figure gone though it has been quite long now it till leave in Jaden's heart he meant a lot to him.
He nodded slowly to James's questions
" You need to rest," James said to Jaden, whose eyes were closed.
" Leaving the company for who I may ask?" I said to him
"Don't you have CEO's or something that can help you? come on," Jame still presisted.
" No I don't, I do my thing myself." I said as the elevator was at the seventh floor now.
" You're gonna exhaust yourself one day then get really sick, who's gonna help you then?." James till asked me question
" Vampires hardly get sick besides we heal fast." I answered
" I know, I'm a vampire too remember, but your human side doesn't heal fast though. like example when you feel heal at base that one time when Dagger had to literally carry you, you were sick for weeks. James convinced
" I'm looking for a doctor for my the human side at least knows a bit about the heart and bones, plus first aid an application is already out. I can take care of myself I plan for everything." He said putting two fingers on the bridge of his nose
" Nope, I think you need a vet, too, for your bat side." James teased. But Jaden didn't take it as a joke
" Then I would get one for you." He teased back it took a while for James to figure it out that he wasn't kidding,but when he did he ran after Jaden who was out of the elevator and already into a car
" It was a joke," he yelled as he ran after Jaden who engines where already wake, James didn't want to use super speed out side so he had to run the normal way after Jaden
