"I can't believe today is the day we get to watch" Elixir! " Like wow...I have been dreaming of it for quite a while now after the thriller" A lady said to her friend as they both walked alongside to the theatre
"I'm thinking of running. I just can't wait to get a sitter," her friend replied as they both giggled.
"Ladies, ladies", A young man called as he blocked their way.
"Excuse me?" The first lady replied.
"Sorry for the interruption, believe me, it's not intentional!" He said as he lowered his head, apologizing.
"We're not interested in whatever you have to say" The second lady grabbed her friend's hand and tried to bypass him, but he held them back and gave them a smile showing the dimples on his cheek.
"Am I cute?" He asked, leaving the lady confused as they both looked at each other and then at this young man who seemed to be in his late 20s. "I mean compared to that guy over there.." he pointed in the direction where a chubby guy was standing across. 'He looked disgusting and out of shape'
"Are you hungry? You look poor, and judging from your cheap outfit and whatever the hell you wore on your feet... you're no different from that fatty over there! " The first lady said, almost shouting as she pushed him off their way and walked past.
"Lydia, calm down. I think the guy is not that bad...you just did him dirty", the second lady laughs.
Lydia rolled her eyes, "Well you would have said something before I did"
"I'm Eli by the way!" They heard the guy shout from a distance.
"Moron, I told you not to try your luck with these ladies...you didn't listen", Fatty said ambiably as he helped Eli up. "I'm not that bad looking I know," he smiled as he looked at the building where the theatre is...then his eyes slowly fell on his hand. He chuckles, then pats Fatty on his shoulder. "Let's grab a coffee", he says, then he walks away, heading in the direction of the coffee shop.
'What is he thinking? ' Fatty thought as he followed behind.

Eli placed the fliers on the table as he sat down on the chair, while Fatty did the same opposite him, he called out to the waiter as he ordered two latte coffee.
"Eli, are you okay? You seemed off... don't tell me that lady's words hit you hard," Fatty said, almost laughing.
"Nah..." He mumbled, then sighed. " Smith has been acting weird lately"
"That weird dude? I told you not to take him in" His gruff tone betrayed him making the conversation uncomfortable.
Eli rolled his eyes as he sipped from the coffee "Says the person who pleaded with me to take him in,"
"I don't remember"
"Remember that book we saw alongside when rescuing him," He spoke in a rising inflexion as if asking a question. Fatty glared at him waiting for the next word. "He has completed it!"
"Woah! Woah! Woah! So....? It's not like we can sell it off for a next big hit film thing cause we haven't sold any from the previous ones we got ...just sharing fliers all around. Perhaps we're not making any sales cause we just show up at the theatre whenever there is a premier movie" He Enunciated each word carefully, his voice clear and precise.
"I submitted those few online but still didn't get any buyer" Eli drawled.
"Let's just go back to working at that garage; maybe selling novels isn't our calling", he spoke acutely about the issue.
Eli sighed.

After leaving the coffee shop, Eli heads home, I'm his Willy's CJ 2 jeep. Getting him, he parked smoothly in his garage; he took the food package he bought on his way back. He headed for the door and knocked on it, waiting patiently for a response, but got none. Then he knocked again and again getting none, he anxiously went in.
"Smith! Smith!" He called out but got no response; he dropped the item on the table while he searched the house, calling out to Smith. Eli went out to the backyard and there Smith was, ripping pages out of a book.
"Smith!" His voice booms across the yard; his acerbic tone gets Smith tense as he increases the speed of ripping off the page. Eli rushed over to him and snatched the book from him; this action made Smith fall on his ass, frightened he folded himself as he covered both his ears. "I don't know where it is! I don't know! Don't hurt me! Don't hurt me" He mumbled repeatedly.
"Hey, hey, calm down; it's me, Eli..okay calm down!" Eli drawled as he patted him on his shoulder trying to calm him down. "None one is going to hurt you okay? You're safe...okay?" He comforted him; gradually, Smith let go of his hands, his head lowered as he avoided Eli's eye gaze.
"I got you your favourite meals", Eli's Dulcet voice soothes the rest of Smith's fears; he looks at Eli with bright eyes.
"Veggie bowls with french fries and chicken wings" he spoke in a barely audible whisper.
"Lol...yeah! It's on the table" Eli smiled as he scratched the back of his head, blushing...nearly laughing out ' What's wrong with me? What kind of puppy eye is that? You're not even a lady' he thought.
He watched as Chris rushed to the house in excitement; he couldn't help but keep smiling...he really couldn't believe he could take in someone who was of the same age as him. Eli was preoccupied with his thoughts as he didn't notice the sudden change of weather until rain started drizzling, and he jotted out his thoughts. His eyes immediately roam around as he hurriedly picks up all the torn pages and the book Chris left behind. 'I don't know why I feel this sense of responsibility towards you, but I'll try my best to make you better' Eli thought as he ran back to the house.
