As he started waking up, lots of unnecessary sounds and the pain in his foreheap filled his mind.
Trees? Trees don't make that type of sounds. That was... a woman whistling?
When he finally found strength to open his eyes, he saw the back of a tall lady.
She was carrying him on her shoulder with one arm, that requires a lot of strength.
He tried speaking to her but no word came out of his mouth.
He felt helpless with the pain and the unability to speak.
He moved his arm a bit but it was painful also but he had to endure it.
Even though it hurt a lot more than anything he has experienced since he woke up, he used his hand to tap her back.
"Huh, are you awake?" the woman said.
"..." no word came out.
"I guess so, let me put you down."
She pressed on her knee and slowly put him down, pressing his back on a tree. They were on a forest.
"Are you okay, does any part of your body hurt?"
Oh damn well it did. Only if his useless mouth could speak...
"Well, your face explains a lot. Here let me give you this." She said as she pured a little bit of liquid medicine on his mouth.
"That should help with your pain."
As his body quickly consumed the blue liquid, his pain started to fade away. "That must be some expensive medicine." he thought to himself.
He raised his head a bit and saw her stunning face. He had never seen someone this pretty.
Well that was because he had no memories of anyone else!
Otherwise she was slightly above average. She had dark skin, light red short hair. And her body was pretty muscular too.
She had a somewhat traditional outfit and a hammer as a weapon. On her belt, there was a parchament, a bottle of water and a tube of the blue medicine she gave him earlier.
She looked at him with curiosity.
"Why were you at the Zunchin Desert?"
"Do you not know it is really dangerous down there, you would be dead if it wasn't for me!"
"What village are you even from? You certainly are not from nearby as long as i can see from your clothing?"
She bombarded him with questions but he wasnt awake enough to understand all of them.
"Huh?"
"You really just woke up didn't you? Alright, i'll talk about myself first."
She got up and gave him a hand to help him stand.
Now that they were both standing, he could see that she was about an inch (3 cm) taller than him.
They started walking. Or should i say she started dragging him?
"My name is Amber. Im from the Zhaein Village, i am the proud daughter of the leader of our village. They tasked me to check the Zunchin to see if it is expanding once a week."
She took out the parchament out of her belt and showed him it.
"That's where it was a week ago, it hasn't expanded this week which is relaxing."
"Oh and uh um... i forgot what i was going to ask. Anyway to im going to take you to our village and take care of you until you are fully healed, that's what people of Zhaein do!"
"Thank you..." he said in an emberassed voice.
"You are we- OH NOW YOU CAN TALK, tell me about yourself!"
"Oh... yeah sure. My name is... what? I seem to be unable to remember my name!"
"What?! You don't... remember it?
"I don't think so, is it that important? He coughed a bit after that
"I guess not, do you want some water?" she handed him her water bottle.
He drank some (half of it) and gave it back.
"Thanks for the water, i don't know how to repay you."
"Don't worry about it pal."
The silence took control of the air as they walked.
As the time passed by, they got closer and closer to the village and soon enough, they arrived.
