Chapter 45 - Threads of fate

" where fates are woven and wills are tested, every step could be the beginning of the end or the start of a new dream."

The next chapter transitions to the Firebow Mercenaries meeting others after the destruction of the sacred tree. Izak bids them farewell, saying, "It was a pleasure meeting you, strangers." Erian responds, "We'll meet again someday."

The scene shifts to two mysterious warriorsThey carry a white shield that they witnessed in a previous battle at a sacred tree against a black shadow standing on a mountain peak. One says, "The mission is complete, as expected, Kimb," while mounting a horse. Kimb replies, "Good, but this is only a small part of the church's grand plan. This is just the beginning."

The scene transitions to the Firebow Mercenaries, where Arman tells them, "There are only a few months left before we leave the Chaos Land we have already left the southern section of the Chaos Lands And Small kingdoms and poor villages, , and bandits. The northern section is home to wild, barbaric tribes.

The scene shifts to Lara, who approaches Larios, asking, "Are you alright? I heard you woke up." Larios replies jokingly, "Yes, I'm fine." Erian jumps in, mockingly angry, "You didn't worry about me before, back when we were in that hut!" Lara laughs and responds, "Oh, be quiet."

Later, Randel approaches Larios privately, asking, "Have you decided?" Larios responds, "About what?" Randel replies, "You know what I mean. Arman told me everything about your escape." Larios responds firmly, "I've decided to stay here." Randel advises, "It's important to stay out of trouble and stop wandering off on your own."

At night, Larios falls into a strange dream. He hears whispers from a shadowy figure saying, "You are a slave to this power. You won't control it. Return to your place." Larios wakes up, puzzled by the dream.

The next morning, the group heads to a grand auction, crowded with people. The Firebow Mercenaries approach a wealthy merchant and inquire about a crystal he's selling. The merchant reveals that a nobleman purchased it moments earlier. The team feels disappointed.

Mathias, the scholar, tells Arman, "We didn't manage to get even one dimensional crystal like that." Arman replies, "We shouldn't waste time. There are two types of dimensional crystals. The first requires killing a group of crystalline beasts and absorbing their luminous power. The second type is only accessible during a lunar eclipse and doesn't take months to acquire." Mathias reluctantly agrees, and the group returns.

Arman tells Larios, "If you want to regain their trust, bring back a crystal."

Later, we see the nobles traveling in a carriage. They stop to rest, only to encounter a man with a sword standing before them. Panicked, they attempt to flee, but he intercepts them and kills them one by one. Among the chaos, Larios finds a crying infant hidden behind the nobles. He spares the child, feeling remorse for taking the child's parents away.

The scene transitions to Larios presenting the crystal to Arman. "I brought the crystal," Larios says. Arman responds, "It seems you didn't face much trouble." Larios shakes his head. Arman hands the crystal back, saying, "Take it. You deserve it. Although one of our last missions is to collect a dimensional crystal for some extra money, the Kingdom of Atilda already has plenty."
