"What happened?" Albert asked with a confused expression.

Anne's heart raced as she went back to the dimly lit bar, Aunt Teresa by her side like a steadfast ally. The scent of stale cigarettes and cheap perfume spread in the air, adding to Anne's sense of unease. But she pushed forward, determined to find any trace of Albert, the man she had one-night-stand with.
However, their hopes were quickly dashed when they told Madam P, about what happened. She intercepted them with a cold glare. "I don't know anything about the comings and goings of my patrons," she declared, her tone leaving no room for argument. With a dismissive wave of her hand, she shooed them away like unwanted pests.
Anne's frustration boiled over, mixing with the bitter taste of disappointment. It felt like a nightmare replaying itself, each twist more agonizing than the last.
Back at home, Anne faced another storm, this time from her own mother. Accusations flew like daggers, each one stabbing at Anne's already fragile heart. "Sleeping with a stranger, you didn't even stop at that, you still get pregnant for him!" Her mother spat, the words laden with scorn and disappointment. It was a painful reminder of her own past mistakes, echoing through the generations.
But amidst the chaos, Aunt Teresa got a message from someone that the person Anne sleep with is, "Albert Torillo, a billionaire married man," Aunt Teresa whispered, her eyes wide with disbelief.
She broke the news to Anne's family, Anne felt her world tilt on its axis, the ground beneath her feet slipping away.
Yet, in that moment of reckoning, Anne made a silent vow to herself. She would not chase after a man who belonged to another. She would not allow history to repeat itself. Instead, she would embrace the challenge of motherhood with unwavering determination.
Nine Months later.
In the quiet confines of a luxurious hospital, Marie let out a scream, clutching her husband's hand. Struggle, pushing with all her might, finally, the baby emerged— a baby girl. But there was no sound of a baby cry. The doctors were busy attending to the baby.
After a few minutes of trying, the doctor announced, "I'm sorry Mr & Mrs Torillo, your baby didn't make it, her heart was weak from birth."
"No, no, no!" Marie's cry filled the room as she collapsed into tears, her grief overwhelming.
Albert's heart clenched with anguish. "No, doctor, please tell us. I'm ready to do anything. I will spend any amount to bring back my child," he pleaded desperately.
But the doctor shook his head sadly. "I'm sorry, Mr. Torillo. There's nothing we could do. We really tried our best," he explained.
"After waiting for five years... Five years of no child, and now my little angel is gone? Albert, please do something. Baby Rose must not die," Marie sobbed brokenly.
Marie cradled her daughter's still form against her chest, her heart shattered into a million pieces, tears streaming down her face with Albert by her side.
Still that day, Anne was rushed to the local hospital in Cebu, after being rushed in. "Push Anne," the doctor encouraged her to push, her family anxiously waiting outside for news.
"Come on, Anne, you can do it," the doctor urged. "Push a little more. Your baby is almost here."
Anne gritted her teeth in pain, gripping the bedsheet tightly as she closed her eyes and pushed with all her might.
"Push!" the doctor exclaimed. "You're almost there!"
And then, finally, the cry of a newborn baby filled the air. The doctor's voice rang out triumphantly, "Here she is! It's a baby girl!"
Tears of joy streamed down Anne's face, Anne, catching her breath, whispered, "Oh," as she tried to catch a glimpse of her newborn baby. She felt weak from the exertion of labor and she was transferred to the ward.
Anne's baby was placed beside her, and she felt a surge of happiness as she held her precious daughter. The doctor asked, "What are we going to name her, miss?" Weakly, Anne replied, "Isabella," tears welling in her eyes as she held her tightly.
Anne's mother, Mrs. Francois then asked Anne, "Whose last name are they going to use?" The question brought sadness to Anne's face, and Uncle Peter quickly tried to lighten the mood.
"Come on, Mrs. Francois," he said cheerfully. "The baby should have our last name, right Anne?"
Anne weakly smiled and nodded her head. Mrs. Francois looked worried and voiced her concerns. "What if Albert finds out the truth and decides to take Isabella away from us?"
Uncle Peter reassured her, saying, "Ma'am Francois, I don't think he will do that. Besides, he's illegally married, as we heard. He has a family of his own." He glanced at Anne.
Anne surprised them all with her determination. "If Albert tries it," she declared firmly, "he will have to go through my dead body before he can take Isabella away. I will never give him Isabella because she's mine alone."
Mrs. Francois and Uncle Peter exchanged a concerned glance as they observed the anger on Anne's face.
"Anne, come on," Mrs. Francois urged, "Albert is still Isabella's father, you can't deny it."
"What!" Anne scoff, "I can't believe this, Mother!" She exclaimed, her voice rising in frustration. "Can't you hear? He's legally married. Besides, he doesn't even know that I existed, let alone Isabella. So Isabella is mine!"
As Anne spoke, Isabella began to cry, and Anne hurriedly began to pet her daughter, trying to soothe her.
"Ma'am Francois, Anne is right," Uncle Peter intervened gently. "Let's not argue about this. Besides, people might start gossiping about her for going after another woman's husband."
Anne gazed at Isabella and cuddle her tightly, she clenched her teeth in anger, "not even flies of Albert house will touch my daughter, because she's mine alone!"
