Chapter 115 - Inner beast

Chapter 115

Davis threw his phone across the room as soon as he ended the call, "damn it," he cursed under his breath. He couldn't take it any longer, he had to tell her, maybe she might consider him if she knew how he felt for her, they have known each other the longest, how could a nobody compete with him.

Just then, his phone which he had thrown away started to ring, he groaned in frustration and stood up to pick up his phone. "You found him?" He asked quietly,

"Holy freaks Dave, it's either this guy has ancestors who look exactly the same or he his immortal, I found several photos of him from year 1938 and year 1998, and he looked exactly as he does now," the man on the other end of the call exclaimed, his tone urgent.

Davis's jaw clenched, "are you sure they look hundred percent alike?" Davis questioned .

"yes, we even did a face analysis, it's the same face."

"I want you to do more investigation, find any information about his past, his parents or ancestors, if it has been confirmed that he had none, then that would confirm our suspicion." Davis ordered, The call ended soon after, and Davis turned to face the panoramic view of the city sprawled out below him. His jaw clenched as he stared at the sprawling urban landscape from the penthouse apartment.

"Just you wait, Dante," he muttered under his breath, his eyes narrowing. "My gut tells me you're hiding something, and I will find out every dark secret you're keeping." His grip tightened around his phone, the pressure building until the device cracked and shattered in his hand.

It took Natasha a while to recover from the breathtaking kiss she just had with Drogen, after which she stood up and hurried out of the room to meet him.

He was already seated and had started eating quietly, Natasha joined him on the table and sat opposite him, she tried to observe and read his expression, but his face was completely emotionless.

"Drogen, is everything alright?" She asked quietly but he ignored her, He always ignored her whenever he was angry, which meant he was definitely angry about something.

"Is this about my call with Davis? She asked in a soft tone, but he still ignored her, if she was being honest, she hated when he ignored her like this, he should just speak and say what's wrong, ignoring her wouldn't solve any problem.

"Drogen, answer me!" Natasha snapped, he looked up at her, his expression cold, and then he looked back down and resumed eating, still not saying anything.

"If you won't talk to me, then forget it," she was mad, why couldn't he just man up and say what's really wrong, she had planned to make fond memories with him, not this. She stood up angrily from the chair and turned to leave, but then, the next moment, drogen was right in front of her.

He gripped her waist and instantly teleported them into the bedroom, dropping her abruptly onto the bed. His body hovered over hers, tense and dominant. Natasha's heart skipped a beat, shocked by his sudden, aggressive move.

"I kept my mouth shut because if I opened it, I wouldn't be able to hold myself back. I'm a possessive fucking beast, Nat. I can't stand the thought of my woman talking, laughing, or even being near another man. You really want to know what was running through my head just now? All I could think about how I would ravage and mark you, making you mine in every way—fucking you so hard you forget anyone else exists, so the only name you'll ever scream is mine. But I'm holding back because the last thing I want is to hurt you or scare you off with how intense I am. That's why I stayed quiet. Do you get it now?" He growled, his voice low and rough with restraint.

Natasha's eyes darkened with a flicker of challenge, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. "Then don't hold back. If you're jealous, fucking show me. If I piss you off, say it. Don't stand there acting like you're doing me a favor by staying quiet. I'm not scared of your beastly side, Drogen. So stop pretending you're protecting me and be real with me."

Drogen hovers above her, his body a solid weight pinning her to the bed, his eyes dark with barely contained hunger. His hand slips into her hair, pulling her head back to expose her throat, his lips brushing against her skin as he growls, "You wanted me to stop holding back... well, now you've got my full attention."

He lowers his face to hers, his lips brushing against hers in a teasing, almost cruel kiss, before he pulls back just enough to look into her eyes, a wicked smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "You're going to feel every ounce of what happens when I finally lose control, Natasha. Every damn inch of it." His hand slides down her body, his fingers teasing, deliberate, igniting a fire in her she never expected. "Now you get to see what happens when I stop pretending."

Natasha's heart was pounding in her chest, every nerve on edge as Drogen loomed above her, the weight of his presence almost suffocating. A mix of excitement and nervousness swirled in her stomach, her breath catching as his fingers brushed against her skin. Her mind raced, torn between the thrill of finally feeling his intense desire and the uncertainty of what was to come.

Part of her wanted to give in, to let him take control, to feel every inch of him, but another part of her hesitated—unsure of just how far he would push her, how much of herself she was ready to lose in this moment. Her body responded to him instinctively, heat pooling in places she hadn't realized could burn, but her pulse was erratic, uncertainty clashing with the electric pull between them. She couldn't deny the desire building in her chest, but beneath it, there was a flutter of nerves she couldn't quite shake, wondering if she was truly ready to face the beast inside him—and inside herself.
