"Mom, I'm coming, I need to go check something real quick." Natasha hastenly said to her mother and hurried out of the house, not giving her mother a chance to ask anymore questions. Her heart was racing so fast, her palms sweaty. She had never felt this agitated in her life.
She stopped a cab and immediately headed to Drogen's penthouse. It was after she got down that she realized hadn't taken any money, and not even her phone, just the jewelry box that held the necklace, although she had now wore the necklace around her neck, her fingers still clutched to the box tightly.
"What do you mean you can't pay? Did you board a cab without having money?" The taxi driver snapped, his brows furrowed, clearly displeased by her explanation.
"I'm really sorry, but if you can wait, I'll go up and bring some money for you." She said, pointing to the penthouse, her expression apologetic, but also impatient. She was really desperate to find Drogen.
