Her mother stared at Natasha, dumbfounded, and then tears slowly welled up in her eyes. She pulled Natasha into her embrace, hugging her tightly.
"I'm sorry, I just....got emotional." Her mother apologized, rubbing Natasha gently on the head like she was petting a toddler.
"It's fine, I also got emotional." Natasha apologized too, hugging her mother back, Gracie smiled, watching them. Natasha's stomach growling instantly turned off the whole emotional situation.
"My my, is there a beast in there?" Her mother teased with a smile, pulling away from the hug. Natasha held her stomach playfully, then pouted.
"One that hasn't been fed in hours." The three of then bursted into a hearty laughter and her mother stood up and headed out to get something for her daughter to eat.
Once Gracie and Natasha were alone in the room, Gracie's face turned serious as she turned to Natasha.
