Chapter 79 - Obsessed

Chapter 79

Natasha cleared her throat and approached the plump Gracie with an awkward smile.

"Sorry to bother you. I thought you were someone else—my friend Gracie. Since you're not, I'll just…" She turned to leave quickly.

"Stop right there!" Plump Gracie's deep, booming voice sent a chill down Natasha's spine, freezing her mid-step. How had her voice suddenly transformed? Was this some sort of second Mrs. Bronson situation?

Natasha cautiously turned, watching as plump Gracie stomped toward her, the floor almost vibrating with every step. "What in the… earthquake?" Natasha muttered under her breath.

Plump Gracie's eye had completely changed, it wasn't like anything of when she was talking to the little boy. Once she got to where Natasha stood, she leaned closer to inspect her face, her eyes dark with something Natasha couldn't fathom.

"Are you perhaps the human my dear Drogen revived?" Plump Gracie asked, her piercing glare daring Natasha to lie.

"My dear Drogen! What is he, your boyfriend?" Natasha asked gasping with both shock at annoyance. How dare this....this whatever she is, address Drogen so casually.

"Ohh, so it's you. You know, I've been dying to meet you for a while now" plump Gracie said, folding her sleeves as if getting ready for a fight.

"But you're already dead. And I asked you a question, why did you call him that way. He's mine, you delusional freak" Natasha shot back, folding her sleeves too, the two girls glaring at each other, their eyes already fighting a thousand battles.

"How dare you claim him. He's mine" plump Gracie screamed, grabbing Natasha's hair as she started pulling it. Natasha yelled from the pain as she also grabbed the two sides of Gracie's bun and started pulling hard too.

"You cocky human, I'll teach you a lesson today" Gracie screamed, pulling with all her strength, and Natasha wasn't letting go either. The little boy's cry soon made the two feisty girls halt as they turned back to look at him.

"You see, you made him cry" Gracie screamed, turning back to Natasha as she resumed pulling her hair.

"You crazy fatso, you're the one who started acting like a deranged wrestler" Natasha yelled too, yanking Gracie's hair with all her strength. At this point, the two girls looked a complete mess, and Gracie seemed offended by Natasha calling her fatso, so she pulled even harder, their screams echoed loudly in the ward, outsounding the little boy's cries.

Just then, someone knocked on the door and stepped inside, the nurse looked inside and found Natasha alone, looking like she just survived a 100volt shock.

"Miss, what's going on, are you okay?" The nurse asked, hurriedly walking towards Natasha, looking worried. It was this point plump Gracie decided to let go of her hair, and Natasha also did same.

Natasha smoothed her wild hair, plastering on a nervous smile. "Oh, I was just… mourning. My student is sick, and I got a little emotional." She pointed dramatically at the boy on the bed.

The nurse raised an eyebrow but turned to check on the boy. Her expression changed when she noticed the monitor was silent, a sign that the boys heart had stopped beating.

The nurse rushed to the boys side, trying to confirm her findings, and her face fell when she realized the boy was dead.

"He's.... he's dead" the nurse announced as she rushed out to inform others, Natasha saw this as the perfect opportunity to leave before she got into trouble.

"Let's take this outside" Natasha said, glaring at Gracie then turned to leave, Gracie followed behind her, not ready to give up as well.

As they stepped into the hallway, Natasha bumped into the grim reaper from before who had led her to Gracie. She marched up to him, looking pissed, even the grim reaper was shocked and confused about why they both looked so disheveled.

"That bitch is nothing like my Gracie, I need you to take me to Gracie, I'm running out of time" Natasha said, her voice dangerously low. The grim reaper gulped, feeling chills run down his spine from her burning gaze.

"We're done here anyway, once we return, I'll tell her you're looking for her" the grim reaper replied quickly. It was only then that Natasha heaved a sigh of relief, then she turned to Gracie.

"Should we solve this like two sensible people or you want to keep acting like an overriped cactus" Natasha asked, smirking mischievously.

Plump Gracie looked down at the little boy, finally realizing how childish they had been. Then she looked back at Natasha and nodded. Gracie handed the little boy to the other grim reaper and the two girls headed to a secluded place.

"Now tell me, what did you mean by he's yours, are you an obsessed fan or something?" Natasha asked, her arms folded as she balanced on one leg.

"And you, it's not like you're his girlfriend, so what give you the right ...."

"Hate to break it to you but yeah... I'm his girlfriend" Natasha smirked as she declared in a low mocking voice. Gracie's facial expression instantly changed from annoyed to horrified.

And then, her horrified expression melted into a mix of disbelief and rage. "You're lying! There's no way you—" she gestured at Natasha, "—are his girlfriend. Drogen has standards!"

Natasha gasped. "Excuse me? Standards? You're built like a double-decker bus, and I'm the one without standards?!"

"Double-decker?!" Gracie screeched. "At least I don't look like a toothpick that got caught in a tornado!"

The two glared at each other, their verbal sparring intensifying as if they were contestants on a reality TV show.

Suddenly, a third voice interrupted. "Gracie! What are you doing up here?"

Both women turned to see another grim reaper appearing from the shadows, his face stern and disapproving. He glanced between the two of them, then sighed heavily. "Gracie, we need to return to the underworld. Zeus has called for us."

Plump Gracie's firm expression faltered, her shoulders stiffening. "Zeus? Why didn't anyone tell me sooner?"

The grim reaper frowned "Let's get going before you end up in detention again like last time"

Gracie huffed, straightening her coat as she shot Natasha a glare. "This isn't over, human. Consider yourself lucky"

Natasha smirked, folding her arms. "Oh, trust me, I feel so lucky right now."

Gracie turned with a dramatic swish of her robe, stomping as she followed the other grim reaper into the void that only the undead could see.

As their forms disappeared, Natasha let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. "What a lunatic," she muttered, running a hand through her messy hair. It's been a while since she has such an intense argument with someone, and if she was being honest, it was quite fun.

But the worry in her heart hadn't settled yet, not until she found answers to her question. But first things first, she needed some aspirin for the throbbing ache in her head after the intense hair pulling she just had with Drogen's psycho fan.
