Chapter 126
The car door slammed shut, but Drogen's hand never left Natasha's. His grip was firm yet comforting as he led her toward what appeared to be the gaping entrance of a cave. The sheer darkness ahead made Natasha's heart pound in her chest, a flicker of doubt creeping in. But she swallowed hard, deciding to trust him just like he said.
"just relax, I won't let anything happen to you," Drogen assured her, his voice low and teasing, as if sensing her hesitation.
She nodded, tightening her grip on his hand. Together, they stepped into the cave.
The air grew colder, wrapping around her like an invisible shroud, and Natasha instinctively leaned closer to him. Suddenly, a faint light flickered ahead. Before she could even ask, the dim glow expanded, illuminating a swirling void that hung suspended in the cave. It pulsed like a living heartbeat.
"What is this?" she whispered.
