"Tortured? No, definitely not." Natasha quickly retorted, laughing nervously.
"Look, I'm fine aren't I?" She added, spreading her hands to show her body.
Her mother sighed softly, relieved that nothing like that happened, she still had a dozen questions for Natasha, but was planning to wait till this bella girl left.
"Food is ready, come out to eat." Her mother said, and then left the room again. Once she was out of sight, relief washed over Natasha as she exhaled deeply.
"It's my turn to ask, were you really tortured? Who is the person, where is he right now?" Gracie asked, her tone tense and urgent.
"Calm down, I took care of it. No need to worry." Natasha assured her, but Gracie wasn't convinced.
"You're hiding something from me aren't you?" Gracie questioned, raising a brow.
"Aren't you too?" Natasha asked too, her tone taunting Gracie to spill.
