Chapter 203: The Fishmen Entering the Kill Zone
After bidding farewell to Hatchan, Jinshiro, and Momoo, Arlong gave instructions to his two main officers, Kuroobi and Chu, to go to Cocoyasi Village and gather some building materials.
He wanted to transform this place into Arlong Park, and the sight of human dwellings disgusted him.
"Understood!"
Kuroobi and Chu responded, then left their temporary base and headed toward the village.
They were well aware of the situation here and didn't believe any human could pose a threat to them.
Because of this, Arlong wasn't worried about sending them out together.
"Perfect, I've finally got my chance!"
"Amaterasu!"
Hiding in the shadows, Uchiha Yi coldly smirked as he saw the two fishmen moving alone.
As soon as they reached a suitable distance, he unleashed two Amaterasu flames directly at them.
In an instant, black flames erupted over their bodies.
With Max-Level Amaterasu, the flames could reach temperatures of 10,000 degrees, far hotter than Usopp's firebombs.
Moreover, fishmen seemed to have a natural weakness against fire.
As soon as the flames engulfed them, they had no chance to resist.
Within seconds, after just two agonizing screams, they were reduced to ashes!
"That took about 2/6 of my stamina..."
"This body's endurance is terrible."
Three fishmen had left, two more had just been killed. That left six.
If he had to take on all six at once, it would drain more than 6/6 of his stamina.
Arlong, being stronger, might require even more effort, possibly another 2/6 or more.
That was too risky—one misstep and he could be killed.
He needed to thin their numbers further before making a move.
The problem was how to lure more of them out.
After thinking for about fifteen minutes, Uchiha Yi formulated a plan.
He got up and moved into action.
A man with scars all over his face and a windmill stuck on his head opened the door.
Upon seeing Uchiha Yi's face, his eyes widened in disbelief.
"Yi?!"
"You're supposed to be..."
"I'm alive."
"And I've gained power."
"Kenju-san, I need your help."
"Lure out two or three of Arlong's men for me."
Uchiha Yi didn't waste time on explanations.
To boost Kenju's confidence in him, he demonstrated the Undying Flame ability.
"Yi, you fool!"
"If you have this kind of power, you should be hiding and growing stronger!"
"Attacking Arlong now is far too reckless!"
Kenju refused, believing Uchiha Yi was acting impulsively.
"You don't need to worry."
"Three of Arlong's fishmen have already left Cocoyasi Village."
"I just killed two more."
"That means only six remain."
"If you can lure out two or three more, I can finish them all off."
"Besides, I've already started. There's no turning back."
"If Arlong notices his men missing and can't find the culprit,"
"do you think he won't take out his anger on the villagers?"
Uchiha Yi laid everything out bluntly.
Kenju had no choice.
"Sigh..."
"Yi, I know how much you're hurting after losing your parents."
"But this is reckless."
"...Forget it. There's no going back now. I have no choice but to believe in you."
"Tell me what I need to do."
Kenju sighed, realizing there was no turning back.
Even if he wanted to scold Uchiha Yi, there was no point now.
Uchiha Yi smiled, then laid out the plan.
Kenju had to lure a few fishmen out, bring them to a designated location, and avoid suspicion.
It was a simple plan, but effective.
If Uchiha Yi went himself, he might lose his temper and attack Arlong prematurely.
That would be too dangerous, and failure would mean the mission was lost.
That's why he needed Kenju's help.
"Got it."
Kenju nodded firmly, then walked alone toward Arlong's base.
"Human, what are you doing here?"
One of the fishmen responsible for security stopped him.
"Respected fishman lord!"
"One of your fellow fishmen sent me to deliver a message!"
"He and Chu found something valuable and need three more people to help transport it!"
Kenju nervously relayed the message as Uchiha Yi had instructed.
"Oh?"
"What exactly did they find?"
The fishman didn't doubt him but was curious.
"I don't know, but I saw several large treasure chests."
"We humans are too weak to carry them."
"That's why they sent me to ask for help."
Kenju's explanation was smooth and logical.
"Wait here."
Hearing this, the fishman assumed Kuroobi and Chu had found treasure hidden in the village.
Since they were short on manpower, they must have sent this human to ask for help.
But first, he had to report to Captain Arlong.
"Oh?"
"So this tiny human village had hidden treasure?"
"We Fishmen are truly blessed!"
"Go ahead. Take two others with you!"
Arlong was too full from the feast and feeling lazy.
So, without thinking too much about it, he sent three fishmen out.
"Yes, Captain!"
Just like that, three fishmen blindly walked into a trap.
Led by Kenju, they stepped directly into Uchiha Yi's kill zone!
"We're here."
Kenju tried to remain calm.
"Huh?"
"Where are Kuroobi and Chu?"
The three fishmen looked around in confusion.
"They're dead."
"And now you're going to join them."
"Amaterasu!"
Three black flames ignited at once.
"AARGH!"
The three fishmen screamed in agony, writhing on the ground.
They tried desperately to put out the flames—but it was useless.
Seconds later, their lives were consumed by the black fire.
"Th-this…"
Kenju stood in shock, mouth agape.
As an ordinary human, he had never seen such destruction.
"No need to be so surprised."
"Next, it's Arlong's turn."
"And I'll need your help to rescue Nami."
"Kenju-san!"
Uchiha Yi chuckled.
