Chapter 1 - For the third time

Country R, Capital City, First People Hospital.

In the VIP hospital room, a pale young lady is laying on the hospital bed. The doctor just gave her the green signal, meaning she is out of danger now.

At the waiting area, quite far from the bed, five people are seems to be engaged in a heated discussion.

Oh, no, not everyone. Selena Snowflake is chiding her husband, Henry Blackstorm.

"How can you be so biased Henry? She is the one, who continuously hurt my daughter. Emily barely avoid her scheme this time. What do think would've happened if she wasn't lucky enough?" Selena Snowflake is like a raging dragon, protecting it's hatchling. Even though he is protective towards her because of her guilt, he shouldn't have indulged her this much. nothing is going according to her plan, and it's definitely vexing her.

"Uncle Henry, I know I'm being selfish. But even if everyone force me, I won't keep someone like her by my side anymore," there is a rare firmness in his face, as if even the destruction of the world won't be able to influence his decision. "Aria is becoming extremely possessive and spiteful. I can't believe, She even tried to harm her own sister out of jealousy. We tried to keep her cheered up so that she won't be scooped in her painful memories, but you have also seen, I don't think she wants our company." Benson sounded utterly disappointed.

The sweet sensible sister she is, Emily started to defend her pitiful elder sister, "If I was in my sister's place, I would've been jealous also. Who can stand another women beside her own fiance? I've told you so many times that you shouldn't get so close with me, but you don't listen to me at all." said Emily between her sobs.

Selena can't stand her daughter. "Why should you stay away from Benson. It's not like you two have done something inexplicable." Selena is seething at this point. "She gets to hurt you, just because you allow her to do so. If you aren't so kind hearted, she wouldn't have gotten the opportunity." She can't understand her daughter's reasonings. She is the one who was mistreated.

Benson can't stand still either. Every time Aria hurt Emily, Emily would jump in her defend. But instead of showing gratitude, Aria would resort to more cruel methods. She has cross every limits this time by attempting on Emily's life. He would make her pay for this no matter what.

Aria's father and brother remained silent the whole time. They know Aria well enough to discern the truth. No matter what Aria won't harm someone. Everyone thinks that Aria is jealous of Emily, because Emily is closer to her fiance, Benson, than her. But Aria doesn't even love Benson. If not for the engagement, she wouldn't even give him her time, let alone getting along with their antics.

But Emily is also a sensible girl. Benson is the one who lacks common senses, or may be doesn't bother to put himself in Aria's shoes. Typical rich kid, doesn't have any patience since everything has been given to him in silver platter. He was and still firmly against their marriage. It's just his deceased wife's only wish was to leave Aria with the Stormborn. He knew, she didn't have faith in him, not that he can complain. he was the one who made Aria and June disappointed in him, sigh! Henry let out a sigh thinking of the old days.

Aria won't harm others for Benson's sake. There may be some kind of misunderstanding, or may be Aria really did try to push Emily in the lake. If so, there must be some other reason. She isn't someone unreasonable. She is the most sensible, and considerate girl on the earth.

They would love nothing more than telling the world how sweet and kind Aria is. But she won't like their involvement, not when they are responsible for her mother's death. She has become so matured in such a short time, all because of their ignorance. They regretted countless time for not paying more attention to her and her mother.

Henry Blackstorm, let out a sigh again as he contemplates everything.

Aria's brother, Eliot, is reading his secretary's long apology for not finding anything from the investigation.

Emily and Benson took Aria to a hillside private resort for outing. Reason? To introduce her to the vast nature of the mountain.

According to them, while climbing the mountain, Emily hurt her leg and then Benson carried her to a nearby lakeside. Then he went to get help to climb down the mountain, leaving the injured Emily under Aria's care.

When he came back with the help, he saw Aria trying to push Emily in the lake, but instead plunged herself by missing her target narrowly.

Remembering her action on the mountain, a shiver runs down through Benson's spine. "Who would've thought, she won't even spare Emily when she was already injured? If I knew something like this would happened, I wouldn't have dared to leave Emily under her observation. Just remembering her actions gives me the chill. What exactly is her heart made of?" there is clear dissatisfaction on Benson's face.

"Enough! you all have said enough." Henry couldn't stand their ranting anymore. He believes Aria may had other reasons to take action against Emily. But harming an already injured person is unacceptable.

If Emily were to fall in the lake, the situation would've been dire considering Emily's leg injury. Even Aria with her swimming ability had to struggled. She isn't the number one swimmer or isn't eligible to compete in athletes, but she still has what it takes to survive under special circumstances.

Or may be there is more than what meets the eyes!

"I'll decide on her punishment. No one will say anymore." Henry's voice took a more authoritative tone at this point. 'I have to talk to her properly when she wakes up.'

But communicating with Aria is more harder than anything. She always gives the cold shoulder to him and Eliot. No matter how hard they tried, she would always leave them to their imagination.

When his father is present, Eliot doesn't say anything unnecessary. He hasn't inherited the Blackstorm Corporation yet, still under his father's strict training. This time is also no difference. At a time like this, he prefers to observe from the sidelines. Observation is the most basic and useful way of discerning human emotions.

Meanwhile on the hospital bed, Aria has slowly regained her consciousness.

Aarghh, the same ranting of Selena Snowflake, and those small sobbing of my dear little sister. When will they get tired of these pretend. Ah! that's just my wishful thinking. I can't believe, I have to go through this for the third time, and this time I can't even fight them back. Sigh, time to open my eyes and take my blessings.

Benson and Selena seems to be in deep thought, and Emily is continuing on her sobs. But Henry and Eliot have been staring fixedly at Aria, who has just opened her eyes and trying to sit up.

The wrestling sound from the bed soon caught Selena's sharp ears. Thus, the vacation her mouth got for the brief moment, came to an abrupt halt.

"Yoo, good morning Princess, did you sleep well?" the sarcasm in her voice cannot be clearer, and like that, the momentary peace in the ward came to a unwanted stop.

Aria knows exactly why she is so frustrated. It's because, no matter what her father still trust her, and that's why Emily couldn't replace her in the engagement between the Blackstorm and the Stormborn.

It's this incident, where she was forced to broke of her engagement with Benson in her past two lives and Benson was the one who forced it, not that she has any regrets.

So what her engagement with Benson was annulled, she doesn't love him in the first place! If it wasn't her mother's only wish to marry her into the Stormborn family, she would have done it ages ago.

"I would like to be alone in my room. Please leave me in peace " Aria said tiredly. She needs to sort out her thoughts.

"Don't you think you're being rude to everyone. Everyone was waiting for you to wake up when you are the one, who is clearly in the wrong. And this is the first thing you have to after waking up? Not even an apology for Emily?" Benson got more determination for his decision. He is definitely right about the annulment of their engagement.

"Stop it Ben, Aria didn't mean..." Emily tried to defend her again.

"Peace? You're the one who doesn't know the existence of peace!" Selena didn't give Emily to say more.

"Not again mom. You should stop now. She have just regained her consciousness," Emily seems to can't reason with her mother either.

"And whose fault is that. It's her own doing. She is so evil, nothing like her mother!" "And one more thing, she wasn't unconscious, she was just drained from exhaustion and was asleep the whole time."

Don't snap, don't snap at her. Just come down. You can not give yourself away. Just a bit more. Aria is trying to keep her calm. One missteps; and everything will be ruined.

"Mom...." bringing Aria's mother in any quarrel is like a taboo in their family.

"Didn't I warn you already? Just go out and leave her alone." Henry finally snaps out of his trench and stands up to leave the room. "It's applies to everyone here," he reminded again before living the room. "Eliot, come with me."

Henry leaves the room with a seemingly dazed Eliot on his toes.

One by one others also had to follow suit whether they liked it or not.

Finally some peace in the world.
