Konoha, village hidden in the leaf, sun shined down on usually chipper village, but when you look closely you could see very few people were on and about their business, couple jounin ranked shinobi patrolling around with stern faces, civilians walking around with their loved ones but without the usual energy.
In one of the large conference rooms of the Hokage tower, some of the most important people in the continent gathered, they all had somber faces as the topic of the day, and few before this one, all been the same.
End of their beloved world.
Sixth Hokage of Konoha, Hatake Kakashi, looked at his right-hand man, Nara Shikamaru. Even the lazy jounin looked dead serious.
"How much we have left Shikamaru?" Kakashi's voice carried authority but also fatigue, deep fatigue that settling in after all those years.
Lazy jounin took a deep drag of his cigarette. His eyes trailing around the room, looking at every single world leader that have left.
To his right sat down a woman in her early thirties, long auburn hair that cascaded down to her ankles, part of her face hidden behind long bangs with only her left eye left visible. She wears a long-sleeved, dark blue dress that falls just below the knees. It seems to be closed at the front with a zipper, and is kept open on the front-right side from the waist down. The dress only covers up to the upper part of her arms and the underside of her breasts. Underneath, she wears a mesh armor that covers slightly more of her upper body than her dress. She also wears a skirt in the same color as her dress and, underneath those, mesh leggings reaching down over her knees. Around her waist, she wears a belt with a pouch attached to the back on the left along with high-heeled sandal.
She is the Fifth Mizukage of Kiri, Terumi Mei.
Across her at the table sat down a large man with bulging muscles, only wearing long sleeved white haori that is open in front showing his large chest muscles and dark shinobi pants. He only has his right arm with large golden bracelets.
Fourth Raikage of Kumogakure, A.
Left of the large man sat down a young woman in her early twenties, short black hair framing her face with pupilless pink eyes with red dress that is kept open on the front-right side from the waist down, revealing her right leg. It only has a sleeve on the left side
Fourth Tsuchikage of Iwagakure, Kurotsuchi.
Last but not least Kage of the group, young man with rust colored hair and matching long-sleeve shirt and pants with a small gourd strapped at his waist.
Fifth Kazekage of Sunagakure, Gaara.
All of the great leaders of the big five village had their elite bodyguards with them with other notable people in the room too, mostly from Konoha.
Tsunade of the Sannin, former Hokage and still the greatest medic in history. Even years later she looks the same under her Genjutsu to look younger. Behind her, two apprentices stood at attention. Sakura and Shizune, prodigies in medical jutsu and recently promoted co-head of the Konoha hospital.
Beside the busty blonde woman sat another large man with wooden puppet left arm. He wears traditional kabuki style clothes with wild mane of white hair. Jiraiya of the Sannin, head of the intelligence department of Shinobi Alliance and one of the heroes of the fourth war with his contribution to sealing up almost all of the revived enemies.
He lost his left arm fighting against the de-facto leader of Akatsuki and left in comatose, if not for the toad summons reverse summoning him to their home he would have been killed. But his survival was welcomed as he had quite a bit information about the Akatsuki and when Pain attacked Konoha, Jiraiya and Naruto had easier time to deal with the god complexed villain.
Next to him sat down a woman that Shikamaru still kept his distance. Short blue hair with amber colored eyes, white origami flower at the ear and wearing long black cloak that covered most of her body.
Leader of Amegakure, Konan.
Once an enemy that was right-hand man of Pain, but turned to their side after the defeat of her childhood friend. She helped immensely against the revived enemies as most of them being former Akatsuki members like her and she had great deal of information about their abilities and had plans to defeat them, not trusting missing-nins of S-rank caliber even if they were partners.
Old man with bandaged head, wearing old samurai armor and has his katana on his lap, listening attentively. Legend in his own right, fighting the unbeatable Hanzo the Salamander with just an ordinary katana and living to tell the tale.
Leader of land of the Iron, Mifune.
But it was the last person in the room that his eyes lingered the most. Resting against one of the corners of the room. Strongest being in the entire world and only person that actually holding this never seen before Shinobi Alliance.
Hero of the World, Uzumaki Naruto.
Different from his usual orange clothes, Naruto now wears black long sleeved shinobi shirt with matching black pants and sandals. He has short sleeved white jacket over his shirt not zipped. Elastic band with Alliance headband and long vertical scar over his left eye.
Fourth war has matured Naruto more than anything but the events following the war jaded the goofy shinobi. Even though he is still their knucklehead blonde with power to erase anything from existence, now he took being shinobi very seriously and trained insane amount, amount that not even Might Guy would ever attempt to get close to it.
With a sigh, Shikamaru stood up, not slouching for the first time.
"While it was troublesome to gather this much data from all over the world, we have just finished processing it, now that we don't have any opposing powers left to hinder us." He looked at Naruto once more at the end of his sentence, walking around and distributed folders to each leader.
"God tree was forced to mature faster than it should be thanks to Akatsuki, Chakra from Nine-Bijuu were needed to awaken it but for it to mature this fast it needed more than that so it took from people it captured and also from all over the world. We know have estimation of the causalities, 35 percent of the Shinobi population and 57 percent of Civilian population of the world succumb to chakra exhaustion in İnfinite Tsukuyomi. Battles and skirmishes of the Fourth and Fifth great wars further escalated the already falling population."
Everyone felt the room getting colder with each word, giving side eye to the young blonde. Naruto had his fist clenched hard, enough to draw blood from his palms.
"Uchiha Sasuke…" Shikamaru paused little. "… and his rouge army targeted specific areas to divide our attention, hitting the civilian population when they were left unguarded. Destroying our supply routes, and raw material production. While we have defeated him and his army, this left us with a bigger problem."
Naruto almost let loose his chained rage at the mention of his former best-friend. Just because he wanted to save Sasuke from his own darkness, whole new great war happened, this time consistent of everyone. He could have killed him number of times… especially at their battle at the end of the Fourth War but no… his bleeding hearth couldn't strike his best friend. Allowing Sasuke to ran away with his new team, Orochimaru and Kabuto.
They somehow gathered the small nations, excluding Amegakure, under their own banner and declared war against the new Alliance.
Small nations were already afraid when great five and samurai nation banded together, allowing them to play right into Sasuke's palm.
Naruto looked back at the Nara who showed a large picture to the room, picture of a large field, dying with the ground turning ghastly grey.
"God tree, even though we have cut it down, still has its roots deeply buried underground, drawing chakra no matter how slowly. Now that there is no human to take chakra from its target is the world itself. Our estimation is that we have little over a year before no crop will ever grow on our soil, this will destroy the eco-system and in few short months all living will cease to exist due to no food being left."
Deafening silence fell on the room. Everyone looked at each other, hoping someone will have a solution, just a glimmer of hope that they could save their earth after fighting for it so many years.
"Agh!" a hand struck the table. Kurotsuchi of Iwa screamed her lungs out. "We didn't fight for four years straight against those bastards just so we can hopelessly watch the world end!" being a short-tempered, just like her late-grandfather Onoki.
"What do you expect us to do?" Gaara asked calmly. "We can't just up and leave." His eyes catch Naruto jerking slightly at his words but didn't comment in it, yet.
"That would be good…" Mei sighed wistfully. Even before the war her homeland was in dire situation after years of civil war.
Once again everyone stayed in silence. Gaara now watching the twitching Naruto like a hawk. Former Jinchuriki knows that the blonde has something in his mind, something that would solve their problem. His eyes trailed to the Hokage, Kakashi. He can also see that whatever the solution Naruto has, Kakashi heard it before them.
"Please Hokage-dono." Gaara broke the silence. "Tell us what you and Naruto has been planning."
Everyone looked between the Hokage and the blonde sage. Kakashi only eye-smiled while Naruto walked up to the table slowly.
"You know me too well Gaara." Naruto smiled, patting the shoulder of his best friend. "Kakashi-sense and I had been talking about this but… we didn't want you guys to raise your hopes too much before being sure about my plan."
Now standing in front of everyone, their eyes locked to his. Naruto could see, feel the hope rising in their hearth. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He slowly opened it, making people gasp.
Sakura had the biggest reaction out of all of them. Her hands covering her gasping mouth. "T-that… Sasuke's…"
"Yes." Kakashi spoked this time. Gesturing the glowing purple left eye of Naruto. "After the Sasuke's death, Tsunade-sama and I preserved the eye, just in case scenario."
"And how it will help us?" Raikage spoke.
"It will be better if I explain it from start." Naruto said. "When we were fighting Kaguya, she constantly teleported us between dimensions. Be it lava world or frozen tundra. But it was one of those dimensions that I have felt something different in my Sage mode. Life."
Shikamaru's eyes widened at that, already piecing the picture together. "You mean there is life on other dimensions and you want to go there? How Sasuke's eye can help with that? I thought only Kaguya could do something like that."
"Were the only person." Naruto smirked. "During the past four years, Sasuke also awakened ability to travel between dimensions, however his ability is random in choosing the which place he ends up."
"And that was solved with Naruto's sage chakra." Kakashi continued. "Just like he did with Madara's limbo, he can feel other dimensions in his full form and can remember the place he has been to."
"So that we can also go that dimension safely." Jiraiya finished it. "You are true miracle worker Gaki!" He laughed good naturally, bringing life to the room.
"Most unpredictable indeed." Tsunade also smirked; her eyes filled with fondness at her son figure. "So, we need to plan for an expedition for this new place… do you have any data on the new dimension?"
Naruto nodded. "While it was a large continent that Kaguya first teleported us, I was able to lucked out and were able to land in a medium sized island that has warm temperature and good climate. I left a chakra rod there to guide us next time. Also, my sage mode told me that new world is bigger, we can't even compare our world to against in just sheer size and life it contains. I also felt that it is mostly covered in ocean with islands being the land masses that people live on it, uncountable amount of island I felt. I couldn't stay more than few minutes so that no one could notice me."
Everyone took notes of the information.
"So… we need sizable but still good amount of people to go there first and secure us a base… we can then start mass migration one or two months later…" Jiraiya already started on an outline. "How much chakra it uses Naruto?"
"Good amount just for myself… I can ask help of Kurama and his siblings for the expedition team. But we will need a new plan for mass people."
"Kumo can take care of that." Raikage talked. "We were working on a Chakra Cannon but left in prototype. We can change the configure and add a battery that we can fill it for Naruto to use it. We can divide people in groups. First it will be shinobi for security then civilians and shinobi that we will leave behind for protection."
Everyone nodded, relaxed first time in years. Once again life was in their voice as they all talked about the plans. Pitching ideas and slowly but surely creating a plan for expedition.
Jiraiya walked up to Naruto, who was watching the room in silence, putting a hand on the young man's shoulder he gave it a warm squeeze.
"Your parents would be proud of you my boy… you have finally achieved my dream of bringing people together. You will be great leader one day."
Naruto smiled warmly at his father figure. "I just did what was right Ero-sennin. I couldn't do anything if I was alone so it is everyone that should be also proud of themselves. But we have still more to do… that new world… I feel that our fighting days isn't over."
"Could be… but as long as we are together, nothing can bring us down. That is the Will of Fire."
"Yes… yes, it is."
