Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The Nightmare begins

For two years, Earth's atmosphere became chaos. A strange phenomenon appeared out of nowhere.

At first, on any given day, you could feel the four seasons for a couple of hours. Snow would fall, followed by a spring breeze, and a hot ray would come after.

But later, the weather became a battlefield for the four seasons, as if each were trying to dominate the others.

Not even the scientists could provide an explanation. People assumed it was a harmless anomaly. However, no one knew the truth—a disaster was coming.

Westia Continent, October 6th, Year 2030

The sun was shining brightly, yet dark clouds filled the sky, crackling with thunder and lightning at the same time.

Yet, there was a building buzzing with activity. Incidentally, this building was a high school.

It was the last year of school, and everyone was eager to graduate, uncaring about the strange weather outside, as they had gotten used to it by now.

As if everyone had gotten used to the strange weather, they were now focusing on their personal lives.

Inside a classroom, there was a boy. However, he was an outstanding male, thanks to his unusual appearance.

Yeager.

His hair resembled a yin-yang: one part was raven-black, and the other part was silver-white.

His hair made a perfect balance between light and shadow.

His skin was flawless alabaster with a silvery hue that gave him an intense glow. His eyes were golden, burning like the sun, as if full of intense energy.

His body was well-toned and full of muscles, as if he were carved from marble.

His broad shoulders, his towering height of 180 centimeters, and his straight, unbending back gave him a regal appearance.

His name was Yeager. He heard murmurs about him: "Why is he so handsome?" "Who does he think he is?"

However, he ignored them. He had gotten used to their annoyance by now.

He knew that they were all simply jealous of his good looks.

Yeager was as cold as ice, thanks to people picking on him because of his peculiar yet charming handsomeness.

This was evident by the sharp look in his eyes. He was focused on the topic of the class.

Despite maintaining his distance, he had two childhood friends: Annie and Albert.

The trio were from the same orphanage.

Yeager never knew his parents since childhood, Annie hated her abusive mother after her father's death, and Albert was just like Yeager.

Annie was an exquisite young lady. Her blond hair, like the sunflower, reached her shoulders, and her skin was flawless ivory.

Her eyes were emerald green, like precious gems.

Annie was an ice queen. She was professional and dutiful, always maintaining distance from others.

Yet, with those she trusted, she would treat them with familiarity.

Albert was the polar opposite. He was carefree and laid-back, always enjoying joking with others.

Albert was a young man with black hair and black eyes. His skin was flawless alabaster.

Despite their conflicting personalities, they shared one thing in common: their love for Yeager.

This class was the last for the day. The bell rang, and everyone packed their stuff and prepared to leave.

Yeager picked up his backpack and went to his childhood friends. They were waiting for him at the classroom door. They smiled at him, to which he responded in the same way.

They took a straight path until they reached the exit of the school. It was quite a sight that greeted them.

The streets were full of activity: cars all over the roads, shopkeepers eager with customers, and more.

But as they were walking toward home, Yeager felt something ominous; his senses screamed at him to be cautious.

Yeager's ears picked up some kind of vibrations in the sky. He looked up at the sky, but there was nothing except for the occasional roll of thunder and lightning.

Annie glanced at Yeager and then asked in a soft yet steady tone, "Is something wrong?"

"Yeah, are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost," Albert, ever the easygoing one, asked while smiling.

Yeager continued to look at the sky, and then he questioned them, "Did you guys hear some kind of vibrations?"

"No, but maybe you need to rest," Annie furrowed her brows and spoke in a firm yet gentle tone.

"Yeah, she's right. Ever since the graduation exams were announced, you've been studying nonstop," Albert spoke while smiling.

Before Yeager could protest, a mechanical voice resounded across the street.

[The celestial arcane has arrived on Earth. The soul energy will spread through the planet now.]

[Planet Earth will undergo evolution and mutation. The soul energy will be the catalyst.]

[However, be careful, as two apocalyptic events will begin at the same time. Good luck, Earth dwellers.]

The celestial arcane had descended upon the mortal world, and the nightmare began.
