Chapter 3 - Echoes of Andeddu

The holographic Sith Lord, Darth Andeddu, regarded him with ancient eyes that seemed to pierce through his very soul. His withered face, etched with the lines of countless years and dark rituals, held an expression of both malice and amusement."You carry the legacy of Revan," Andeddu rasped, his voice echoing through the chamber like the whispers of ghosts. "But you are not him. You are something... different."He met the Sith Lord's gaze, his expression unreadable. "And you are?""A guide," Andeddu replied, a flicker of a smile playing on his lips. "A teacher. Or perhaps... a tempter."He felt a surge of dark side energy emanating from the holocron, a palpable wave of power that washed over him. It was seductive, intoxicating, whispering promises of forbidden knowledge and ultimate strength. He resisted the urge to succumb, to let the darkness consume him. He would not be a pawn in this ancient game."What do you want from me?" he asked, his voice steady."To show you the true path," Andeddu said, his eyes gleaming with an unholy light. "The path to power beyond your wildest dreams. The path to immortality."Immortality. The word echoed in his mind, a tantalizing prospect. In his previous life, he'd been a master manipulator, a puppet master pulling strings from the shadows. But even he couldn't escape the inevitable grip of death. But here, in this galaxy of fantastical powers and ancient secrets, immortality might be within his grasp."And what would that path require?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.Andeddu's smile widened, revealing teeth that were too sharp, too long. "Sacrifice," he hissed. "Dedication. And a willingness to embrace the true power of the dark side."He considered the offer, weighing the risks and rewards. He'd always been drawn to power, to the thrill of control. But he wasn't a fool. He knew the dangers of the dark side, the seductive allure that could twist even the strongest minds."I'm not interested in being a Sith," he said, his voice firm. "I have my own path to follow."Andeddu chuckled, a dry, rasping sound that echoed through the chamber. "Such arrogance," he said. "You think you can control the dark side? You think you can resist its allure? You are but a spark in the eternal flame, a fleeting shadow in the grand tapestry of the Force."He felt a surge of anger, a flicker of the dark side rising within him. He suppressed it, reminding himself to stay calm, to maintain control."I am not afraid of the dark side," he said, his voice steady. "I will use its power, but I will not be consumed by it."Andeddu's eyes narrowed. "We shall see," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "But know this: the dark side is a hungry beast. It demands to be fed. And it will not be denied."The holocron flickered, the image of Darth Andeddu fading into the darkness. He stood there for a moment, the silence pressing in on him. He could still feel the presence of the Sith Lord, a lingering echo of his power. He deactivated his lightsaber, the cave plunging back into darkness. He had a decision to make. Would he heed Andeddu's words and embrace the dark side? Or would he forge his own path, a path that balanced the light and the dark?He turned and walked back towards the cave entrance, his mind awhirl with possibilities. He had a galaxy to conquer, an empire to build. And he would do it on his own terms.
