Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: Physical Breakthrough

The next morning, after breakfast, Jing Shaoyu rode his bike along Eastsea City's scenic ring road, making his way to the city's luxurious seaside villa district.

Leng Yaozhu's residence in Eastsea was situated here among the lavish homes.

Jing Shaoyu quickly located her villa—it was unmistakable. Positioned in the prime spot of the district, it stood out with its grand and luxurious design.

Upon arriving, he rang the doorbell three times before using the access card Leng Yaozhu had given him to let himself in.

Inside, the villa had a classical design, with a restrained elegance. As he stepped inside, he found Leng Yaozhu descending the staircase.

She greeted him with a lazy smile, "You're early. Take a seat and wait for a bit."

"Okay!" Jing Shaoyu kept his head lowered, avoiding any direct gaze at Leng Yaozhu. She was still wearing a loose-fitting nightgown, and with every move, her shapely figure was revealed in glimpses, an unintentional allure that set his pulse racing.

As an Ultimate Douluo, Leng Yaozhu had achieved the pinnacle of personal strength. Her lifestyle was carefree and unhurried; her strength left her with no pressing need for cultivation or work.

By the time she reappeared, dressed in her usual attire with a soft smile on her face, she beckoned him over. "Follow me."

Jing Shaoyu followed her upstairs to a room on the third floor and was surprised to find himself in a luxurious bath chamber with a large bath that could easily fit five people.

The bath was already filled, though the water was unusual—a deep red color, steaming and seemingly potent.

"Teacher, this is...?" Jing Shaoyu asked, curious.

"A body-strengthening medicinal bath," Leng Yaozhu replied. "Where's that Thousand-Year Tongtian Chrysanthemum you got at the White Tiger estate? Take it out, eat it, and then get into the bath."

Body-strengthening medicinal bath?

Jing Shaoyu blinked, feeling a surge of excitement. He'd heard that the heirs of powerful families used such baths to enhance their bodies, increasing their ability to endure higher-level spirit rings. Now it was his turn.

"What are you waiting for?" Leng Yaozhu gave him a light slap on the shoulder. "With this medicinal bath and the Thousand-Year Tongtian Chrysanthemum, your physical strength should reach ten thousand years. Now hurry up."

"Yes, Teacher!" Jing Shaoyu responded, snapping out of his daze. Taking out the Thousand-Year Tongtian Chrysanthemum from his Heavenly Phoenix Ring, he swallowed it quickly, then, without hesitation, undressed and jumped into the bath.

"Close your eyes and begin meditating to absorb the medicinal power," Leng Yaozhu instructed, a faint blush on her cheeks. Despite her experience, it was the first time she'd seen a male form up close—though, for her, Jing Shaoyu was still just a child.

Jing Shaoyu had no time to worry about such things. His entire body felt aflame, his blood surging and his muscles and meridians trembling. The bath's medicinal essence surged into his body, intensifying the heat within.

As the medicinal liquid roiled and the steam thickened, Leng Yaozhu watched him calmly from the side, reassured by his steady progress. With his current strength, this level of a medicinal bath would not harm him, even if it was intense. If anything went wrong, the worst would be a few days' bed rest.

Before long, the medicinal bath calmed, and Jing Shaoyu's trembling ceased as he fully immersed himself, his face serene.

Pleased, Leng Yaozhu nodded and left the bath chamber. All that was left was for him to absorb the essence; she had no reason to linger.

When Leng Yaozhu returned later, the thick steam had dissipated, and the red water had turned clear. Jing Shaoyu sat submerged in the water, serene.

"Finished already? Get out then," she called, her tone casual. "We'll check your new physical strength."

Jing Shaoyu opened his eyes, filled with joy. He could clearly feel a significant change in his body's strength.

He quickly exited the bath and, with Leng Yaozhu watching impassively, got dressed. To her, he was still a child; she saw him as no different than an infant in her eyes.

They moved to a room opposite the bath chamber. This room was larger and equipped with advanced technology. Leng Yaozhu led him to a strength-testing device and, after a few adjustments, recorded his new physical strength—an impressive 12,500 years.

A spark of delight flashed in Leng Yaozhu's eyes as she beckoned him over.

"A-Yu, refrain from further spirit ring enhancements for now," she advised.

"Understood, Teacher," Jing Shaoyu responded immediately.

His recent breakthrough already gave him a solid foundation; now, it was crucial to consolidate that strength. His current spirit ring levels were optimal, with an average of around eight thousand years.

Leng Yaozhu nodded approvingly. "Don't worry, laying a strong foundation now will lead to greater breakthroughs later. You're only ten—there's no rush. Once your spirit power surpasses level 37, you can start considering evolving your spirit to a black spirit ring. I'll help you."

"Thank you, Teacher!" Jing Shaoyu's eyes shone with gratitude.

Over the next few days, Jing Shaoyu diligently followed Leng Yaozhu's guidance. As an Ultimate Douluo and a Level Nine Mecha Designer and Maker, her teachings helped him gain clarity in cultivation and expanded his understanding in auxiliary skills, benefiting him greatly.

One afternoon, Leng Yaozhu granted him some time off, and soon after, Xu Xiaoyan appeared at his doorstep with her older brother, Xu Xiaoyu.

"Xiao Yu-ge!" Xu Xiaoyan squealed, rushing to cling to him tightly, hanging off him like a koala.

"Xiao Yan, what a surprise!" Jing Shaoyu greeted her, caught off guard as he hadn't heard from her in days.

"Hehe!" Xu Xiaoyan giggled, "I came to thank you! Xiao Yu-ge, my spirit has fully evolved into a Star Staff spirit! My family's ecstatic; it's the first fully developed Star Staff in generations!"

Jing Shaoyu smiled and nodded. "That's fantastic news."

Resting her head against his chest, Xu Xiaoyan murmured, "Xiao Yu-ge, how should I thank you?"

"Cough!" Xu Xiaoyu, unable to watch his sister's clinginess any longer, coughed pointedly before speaking in his usual deadpan tone. "Xiao Yan, act like a lady and get down."

He pried his sister off Jing Shaoyu, then, slightly embarrassed, approached and gave a formal bow to Jing Shaoyu. "Thank you, Shaoyu. You are now an honored guest of the Xu family."

"There's no need for this, Xu Xiaoyu," Jing Shaoyu quickly assured him, holding Xu Xiaoyu's shoulders to stop the bow.

Xu Xiaoyu, still slightly flushed, said, "Well, I just hope you and Xiao Yan get along well. Don't ever bully her, or you'll have me to answer to."

Jing Shaoyu chuckled. So straightforward! He replied earnestly, "Of course not, Xu Xiaoyu."

Xu Xiaoyu's face softened, and he handed over an icy-blue card adorned with the Xu family crest, a crown. "This is for you. With it, you'll have free access to all Xu family properties in Eastsea City."

Jing Shaoyu was taken aback by the Xu family's generosity. Given their wealth, this card's value was beyond measure.

Without giving him a chance to decline, Xu Xiaoyu added, "My father and grandfather would also like to invite you to our home whenever you're available."

Jing Shaoyu's expression grew serious. "I'd be honored."

With that, Xu Xiaoyu pulled his reluctant sister away, leaving Jing Shaoyu with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude.
