Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: The White Tiger Clan of Star Luo City

Leng Yaozhu had a luxurious villa in Star Luo City, where she and Jing Shaoyu settled in. According to her plan, they would stay for a week, during which she intended to take him on a full tour of the city—a treat befitting her identity as a local.

Jing Shaoyu had no objections; he doubted it would make a difference even if he did.

On their second day in the city, Leng Yaozhu took Jing Shaoyu to one of the city's most famous sites: the ruins of the White Tiger Duke's Mansion.

The White Tiger Duke's Mansion was once home to the White Tiger Duke of the Star Luo Empire and, more importantly, was the birthplace of the legendary Ling Ice Douluo, Huo Yuhao. His story, one of perseverance and struggle against all odds, had been immortalized through books, stories, and movies, inspiring the people of Star Luo City for generations.

After touring various landmarks in the mansion, including scenes like "Mother's Bread Theft," "Young Huo's Departure," and "Yuhao Rescues His Father," Jing Shaoyu was left speechless, not knowing quite what to feel. Summing up his thoughts, he couldn't help but think, Amazing. Huo Yuhao's story is truly one of a kind!

Even Huo Yuhao's mother's grave had become a monument, complete with a finely crafted statue atop it. It was difficult to tell if it was constructed during the Star Luo Empire's reign or the Sun Moon Federation era.

"Teacher, if I remember correctly, the royal family of the Star Luo Continent claims descent from the Ling Ice Douluo, right?" Jing Shaoyu asked after leaving the White Tiger Mansion. "Did he really leave any descendants?"

Although there were no historical records confirming his fate, institutions like Shrek Academy, Spirit Pagoda, Tang Sect, and the Federation generally accepted that Huo Yuhao had ascended to the God Realm.

"About that," Leng Yaozhu replied with a faint smile, "it's quite an interesting story. While the Star Luo Empire's current royal family does have a blood connection to the Ling Ice Douluo, it's not direct. They are actually descended from Huo Yuhao's half-brother, Dai Luoli."

She continued, "Back then, the last Emperor of the Xu family abdicated in favor of Huo Yuhao's father, Dai Hao, who passed the throne to Dai Luoli. Eventually, Dai Luoli's descendants moved the royal family to the current Star Luo Continent."

"So, Huo Yuhao did leave some lineage in the human realm?" Jing Shaoyu mused, recalling a specific name: Xu Yunhan, the first test-tube baby in Douluo Continent's history.

Leng Yaozhu nodded. "Indeed, the last few emperors of the Sun Moon Empire were direct descendants of Ling Ice Douluo."

"Teacher, are there still descendants of the White Tiger Clan in Star Luo City?" Jing Shaoyu asked, thinking of a name—Wu Siduo, a girl who wielded both the White Tiger and Netherworld Cat martial souls, capable of self-fusion to form the Netherworld White Tiger.

"Yes," Leng Yaozhu answered straightforwardly. "When the Star Luo Empire moved, some branches of the royal family stayed behind on Douluo Continent. These descendants still carry considerable influence in Star Luo City."

"Got it," Jing Shaoyu nodded, wondering if these remaining descendants were related to Dai Yueheng and Dai Huabin, both of whom, in their time, had endured harsh struggles for their bloodline.

"Ah-Yuan, since you're so interested in the White Tiger Clan, how about visiting them this afternoon with me?" Leng Yaozhu offered with a smile.

"Is that okay?" Jing Shaoyu's interest was piqued.

"Of course." Leng Yaozhu said with a chuckle. "In fact, I have some history with the Wu family of the White Tiger Clan in Star Luo."

"What sort of history?" Jing Shaoyu asked curiously.

With a nostalgic look, Leng Yaozhu recounted, "It was long ago, during my first journey outside the academy. I encountered an evil Spirit Douluo, and at the time, I was only a Soul Elder. The matriarch of the Wu family saved my life."

"Wow! That must have been quite a while ago," Jing Shaoyu exclaimed, realizing that Leng Yaozhu's connection to the Wu family dated back at least a century.

"Indeed," Leng Yaozhu said with a sigh. "A debt of life."

They drove to a large estate on the outskirts of Star Luo City. A group of well-dressed individuals stood outside the gate, led by a robust elderly man with white hair. When he saw Leng Yaozhu's red sports car approaching, his face lit up with excitement and reverence, and he quickly strode forward, followed by the others.

The elder stopped in front of the car and greeted her respectfully. "Wu Baining welcomes the honored Lady Tianfeng!"

"Welcome, Lady Tianfeng!" the people behind him echoed.

Leng Yaozhu stepped out, her gaze falling on Wu Baining. A hint of recognition flashed in her eyes as she greeted, "Little Ning?"

"Yes, it's me, Sister Yaozhu!" Wu Baining's voice quivered with excitement. "I never expected you to remember me!"

"Of course I do." Leng Yaozhu smiled. "You were your grandmother's beloved little treasure back then."

Wu Baining's face flushed slightly, and he replied with a smile, "That was long ago. You haven't aged a day, Sister Yaozhu. It's enviable!"

"Little Ning, you're a disappointment," Leng Yaozhu said, giving him a reproachful look. "All these years, and you're still stuck at level ninety-four?"

"Sister Yaozhu, it's not that simple to break through this barrier!" Wu Baining said with a wry smile.

"Excuses," Leng Yaozhu huffed, turning to Jing Shaoyu. "Ah-Yuan, this is the current head of the Wu family, White Tiger Douluo Wu Baining. You may address him as your Martial Uncle."

"Greetings, Martial Uncle," Jing Shaoyu said politely.

Wu Baining looked at Jing Shaoyu with a surprised smile. "What a handsome young man! I didn't prepare a gift for this occasion, but please accept this thousand-year Tongtian Chrysanthemum as a token."

He produced a long, ornate box with a transparent lid, revealing a yellow chrysanthemum inside. The thousand-year Tongtian Chrysanthemum was a highly valuable herb with properties that fortified blood and strengthened the body—a second-tier variation of the legendary Strange Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum.

Jing Shaoyu hesitated, looking to Leng Yaozhu for guidance.

"Go ahead, take it," Leng Yaozhu said with a nod.

With her approval, Jing Shaoyu accepted the box and thanked Wu Baining. "Thank you, Martial Uncle."

"You're very welcome." Wu Baining smiled warmly. "Shall we go see the matriarch, Sister Yaozhu?"

"That's exactly what I had in mind," Leng Yaozhu replied.

Wu Baining led them through the crowd and into the estate. He refrained from introducing the others, knowing Leng Yaozhu likely wasn't interested, and he himself doubted they were worth her attention. For the Wu family, it was only the matriarch's life-saving kindness that earned him the privilege of addressing her as "Sister."

In his heart, he could only hope that one young girl from the family would take this rare chance to impress Leng Yaozhu; it could be their last opportunity to see her for a long time.

As Jing Shaoyu walked with them, he surveyed the White Tiger Clan estate, deep in thought. Wu family… perhaps I'll get to

meet Wu Siduo here, the girl with both White Tiger and Netherworld Cat martial souls.
