Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: The Contract is Sealed!

Jing Shaoyu's hand clasped the horn of the Divine Unicorn.

The creature's body trembled immediately, and a faint, seven-colored radiance began to emanate from it. A rich, fragrant aroma filled the air, and Jing Shaoyu noticed a slight pinkish hue veil the unicorn's eyes.

A look of astonishment crossed Jing Shaoyu's face. What is happening? he thought. I'm just touching its horn; why does it look like it's blushing?

Instinctively, he pulled his hand back as though he had touched something electric, glancing at his hand with confusion.

"Ah…" The Divine Unicorn let out a soft, delicate sound before speaking. "Honored Child of Nature, from this moment on, I, Ankacia Saintheart Daylight, pledge to follow your will alone."

Hidden in the shadows, Leng Yaozhu was utterly dumbfounded. That's it? It's done? She had given Jing Shaoyu seven days, but this had taken barely seven minutes! Should she step out now, or was it better to wait?

"Alright," Jing Shaoyu nodded, brushing aside the oddities of the moment. A smile spread across his face. "Excellent. Next, I'll ask my teacher to oversee the spirit soul contract ceremony, so you can officially become the spirit soul of my Origin Spirit martial soul."

"I understand!" The Divine Unicorn's voice carried excitement and anticipation.

Before Jing Shaoyu could even call for her, Leng Yaozhu appeared beside him, her expression a mixture of disbelief and complexity as she glanced between him and the Divine Unicorn.

"Teacher, what do you think? Didn't I tell you I could do it?" Jing Shaoyu asked with a smug grin.

"Yes, yes, you're amazing," Leng Yaozhu replied with a roll of her eyes, her tone dripping with mockery.

"Teacher, you sound so insincere. Can't you praise me from the heart?" Jing Shaoyu teased.

"You little rascal! Getting carried away after your success!" Leng Yaozhu feigned irritation, narrowing her eyes. "Fine. Prepare yourself. I'll conduct the spirit soul contract ceremony."

"Are you my master's teacher?" The Divine Unicorn turned its gaze to Leng Yaozhu, its expression solemn. It sensed a radiant, solar-like warmth emanating from her, prompting a deep respect. "From your presence, I feel the essence of the sun itself. Among all the humans I've encountered, your aura is the purest… one of the purest."

Leng Yaozhu initially felt pleased by the compliment, but her smile faltered at the final remark. One of the purest? Was that meant to be praise or a veiled insult?

Sensing potential trouble, Jing Shaoyu quickly interjected. "Teacher, I don't need any further preparation. Let's begin right now."

"You may not need preparation, but what about this creature?" Leng Yaozhu shot back, crossing her arms as her sharp gaze fell on the Divine Unicorn.

"I am fully prepared!" the Divine Unicorn declared with unwavering conviction. "To offer my body, soul, and everything to my master is the greatest honor I could ever imagine!"

Hearing such fanatical devotion, Jing Shaoyu couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and satisfaction. So this is what it feels like to be worshipped unconditionally. Not bad at all!

"Fine," Leng Yaozhu said with a sigh. "Listen to my instructions."

Leng Yaozhu, ever the professional as a deputy chairperson of the Spirit Pagoda and vice-chair of the Spirit Council, swiftly prepared the necessary arrangements. Before long, both Jing Shaoyu and the Divine Unicorn were positioned within a formation she had drawn.

Following her guidance, Jing Shaoyu placed one hand on the Divine Unicorn's horn while gripping his own wrist with the other. This time, the Divine Unicorn remained still, emitting no unusual sounds or reactions.

With everything set, Leng Yaozhu stepped two meters away, her face serious as she addressed Jing Shaoyu. "Ah'Yuan, remember: completely open your mind and heart, actively approach the Divine Unicorn's essence, and assert your will. Understood?"

"I understand, Teacher," Jing Shaoyu responded with a confident smile.

Turning to the Divine Unicorn, Leng Yaozhu added, "As for you, stay still and let him take the lead. Do not resist."

"My master may do with me as he pleases!" the Divine Unicorn replied firmly.

"Good. Let's begin!" Leng Yaozhu commanded, her voice calm yet her body tense, ready to intervene at the first sign of danger. While forcing the ceremony to stop would damage the Divine Unicorn's core, Leng Yaozhu's priority was Jing Shaoyu's safety.

With a deep breath, Jing Shaoyu released his soul power, letting it flow through his hand and into the Divine Unicorn's horn. The creature's body trembled as luminous, pearly mist descended from above. The formation beneath them glowed softly, merging with the mist to create an ethereal, dreamlike radiance that enveloped them both.

Leng Yaozhu, initially tense, began to relax as the ceremony progressed smoothly. Eventually, a smile graced her lips as she let out a relieved sigh.

Jing Shaoyu and the Divine Unicorn disappeared within a large cocoon of pure white light. It was about the size of an adult human—clearly meant to house Jing Shaoyu as he completed the final steps of the contract.

The appearance of the cocoon signified that the ceremony had succeeded. All that remained was for Jing Shaoyu to assimilate the Divine Unicorn's essence fully, and their bond would be complete.

"Such a lucky brat," Leng Yaozhu muttered with a mix of admiration and disbelief. "A 50,000-year unyielding spirit soul—a Divine Unicorn, no less—tamed so easily. If Guan Yue and the War God Temple hear about this, they'll be mortified! Hahaha! Oh, and that woman, Ya Li—she failed to claim this creature, but my disciple managed it! I'd love to flaunt this in her face!"

In the simulated world of the Spirit Ascension Platform, time seemed to flow differently. By the time the cocoon dissolved and Jing Shaoyu emerged, only a few hours had passed, with the sun beginning to dip below the horizon.

Jing Shaoyu blinked as though waking from a dream, his expression dazed before breaking into a jubilant grin. "Hahaha! Teacher, I did it!"

"Yes, yes, Ah'Yuan is amazing!" Leng Yaozhu replied with a smile.

Having undergone the transformation brought by the contract and his soul ring breakthrough, Jing Shaoyu seemed to have grown taller, his height nearing 1.8 meters. His proportions were even more perfect, his already athletic frame now radiating a harmonious balance of strength and grace.

"How do you feel?" Leng Yaozhu asked.

"I feel great!" Jing Shaoyu replied enthusiastically. He was about to detail the enhancements he'd gained when four deep black soul rings materialized behind him. From the fourth ring, radiant light burst forth as the Divine Unicorn emerged.

"Master!" The Divine Unicorn's sudden appearance surprised Jing Shaoyu. While he hadn't forbidden his spirit souls from materializing freely, its unexpected entrance puzzled him.

"What is it?" Jing Shaoyu asked.

"Master, there is another force within you—a presence that fills me with unease and curiosity. May I inquire about it?"

Jing Shaoyu froze, then smirked. As expected of the Divine Unicorn—it sensed my second martial soul right away, unlike Red Fei, who's still clueless.

"Of course," Jing Shaoyu said with a chuckle.

"What's going on, Ah'Yuan?" Leng Yaozhu asked, confused by the exchange. As the Divine Unicorn was now bound to Jing Shaoyu, its telepathy was exclusive to him.

"Oh, it wants to see my second martial soul," Jing Shaoyu replied casually, lifting his left hand as the Endbringer Spear appeared.

The moment the spear materialized, the Divine Unicorn's eyes widened in shock. Its body trembled as it stared at the weapon, its aura filled with destruction, chaos, and calamity.

"The embodiment of disaster!" it cried. "To think you possess the embodiment of disaster! Master, forgive my

ignorance. You are not merely the Child of Nature—you are the reborn Will of Nature itself!"
