In the pit, despite Tian Chen dragging himself, he spend a lot of effort to barely reach the edge of the wall.
It seemed that the old man that had cultivated himself into a Snake was far too busy to even care about him.
He had already processed the most important information he had on this world.
The Old Devil Domain was mainly controlled by monsters and humans didn't have much say. He had already realized it was a pipe dream to think about anyone coming to save him.
The strongest of them was the martial artists that could at most unleash power of about 600kg when they reached their limit of strength.
But how could they even gain resources to rise to this point, and even those that managed to reach this point, could only hide like rats.
It was impossible for them to show up and help anyone, as their deaths would be even faster than anything.
They would probably turn into delicacies at any point in time.
As for surrendering, it was impossible for martial artists as they where considered the best snacks and once discovered devoured by either monsters or humans that fuse with bloodlines of monsters.
Humans were mostly raised like livestock, this was not the only race with this fate, but he knew it because of their similar features to Ancient Gods.
The original owner of this body might have read it just to pass time, or felt sympathy for them.
Either way, this opened his eyes and showed him the cruel nature of this world.
Only those with spiritual roots could be able to escape the fate of being livestock.
It was difficult to own a spirit root, and those without could never give birth to someone with one, unless they paired with a person with spiritual roots.
But even so, such people where considered outcasts and not treated well in the regions controlled by the immortal sects, this was clearly the Middle Reaches.
The best way to survive being the Outer Reaches, where they could supress Martial artists easily and even devour them to become stronger.
There has never been someone with a poor spiritual root, that escaped the temptation of fusing with monster blood.
By making deals with the monsters for their booodlines, they could at least continue to become stronger.
Monsters on the other hand, wouldn't mind having servants to help them manage their livestock, that is humans with poor spiritual roots.
Once someone fused with blood of a monster, it was impossible to betray them.
Their personalities also become twisted just like the monsters, or to be fair, they couldn't be considered humans anymore.
Those that fused with monster blood might be seen as traitors to the race,
but the Immortal sects didn't think that way. They never considered themselves humans to being with.
It was the reason they treated those that had interactions with humans without spiritual roots and gave birth as abnormal. It was like a human having relations with an animal and giving birth to an offspring.
All humans would treat them as abnormal and that offspring migbt not be welcomed among them.
When it came to the issue of humans being raised as livestock, it was a consensus between many parties, not just those with spiritual roots and monsters, rather other races too.
Devouring humans to refine as cultivation resources by demons, killing by so called immortals for creating treasures and being hunted by other races for sport was considered normal.
They were already not of the same kind, as the spiritual roots allowed them to call themselves the Immortal race.
"I can't just die after coming to this world! Since this world is so cruel it doesn't even give me a chance to survive, I'll take it myself." He thought to himself as he felt the pain all over, and but remained unfazed.
In his previous life he gave away his life for someone else and what did he get in return? Nothing!
At this point, he was going to become selfish, and think about himself. The first thing he had to do was stand up for himself even if he couldn't survive.
Tian Chen was sure that in this world, nothing good comes from being subservient and wishing others to show mercy, because that will never happen.
The human race could be taken as an example, they had become live stock and accepted this status quo like forever.
Even martial artists, that barely achieved something could only live like rats.
That being the case, he also didn't plan on taking on such stupid expectations of others showing mercy on him.
Even in his previous life, he might have not gained much respect and status due to his hardwork, but he still had some dignity. In this world, humans didn't even have dignity, and he didn't have any plans of mocking them, he just wasn't planing on accepting it.
He would pull out the needle, and when the snake appeared, he wanted to fight to death.
Perhaps he might not be able to do much damage, but he was determined to inflict damage on that snake to the best of his ability.
Puting his hand foward, he was clearly trying to get the needle to have a sense of security, but he couldn't shake it in the slightest.
"Damn! Is this how weak my body has become that I can't even pull some golden needle from the wall of a pit?" He complained inwardly.
"No! This can't be all the determination I have right?" As he thought of this, tears were streaming down his face.
He was already dead, and in any case, he had the conversation between that woman that sold him off and the snake that had thrown him in this pit.
Regardless of how thought about it, he was dead either way. He was definitely someone that prefered to go out on his own terms.
But his actions didn't stop, he tried again, and this time he even used both hands.
In less than half an hour, he was already panting, refusing to give up, but even so, nothing changed.
"I can't believe this! Does the heavens really want me dead?" Out of anger, he struck from above with his right hand.
The needle just shook slightly, Tian Chen failed to see that his hurt arm, dropping with blood, covered the needle red.
He sucked in cold breath, ready to put in another effort, but the needle before him cracked like glass.
"Huh! What is wrong?" He was indeed confused.
His blood had activated something, and the entire mountain was being affected becasue of it.
The tears that had yet to completely dry from his eyes, made him look funny.
He had not even thought of retreating, before he heard that sound of something crumbling.
The entire mountaun shook violently, he wanted to retreat but things clearly didn't go his way. He even realized the ground was caving in.
"I'm I going to be burried in this place? Well! It's better to go this way than becoming food to some human scum that has turned himself into a snake!" It was the last thought in his mind, before he was burried along with the pit.
He was relieved though. His mind was very peaceful, as he went out in his terms.
Boom!
In the room the old man with a snake body was located, the shaking was incapable of crumbling the room, but the fire pit below the platform his furnace was standing was the problem.
Without thinking, he slapped the furnace, causing it to vibrate and turn into a small tripod, he swallowed. He then turned into a green light and rushed into a passage he had set up for emergency.
He definitely didn't know what was happening, but he could sense that the fire below the pit was going to erupt any moment. That was not something he could withstand forcefully.
If it was just the mountain crumbling, he might crawl out okay, but the flames under the platform couldn't he controlled. He was drawn to this place because of them, and also afraid of this place because of them.
The flames below the platform gave him a serious sense of crisis, as such he preferred to evacuate before anything else.
As he was rushing off further from the mountain in a tunnel, the shaking become and more intense.
Tian Chen who caused all this was passed out, and a golden texts kept being attracted to the drop of blood he had shed.
Clearly the cause of all this was the characters being gathered together at one point and this was not something Old Snake could see.
He just felt crumbling all around, and he forcefully crushed through them.
The mountain that had been standing for hundreds of thousands of years finally couldn't hold on and collapsed.
The golden chracters finally formed a symbol that crushed all the boulders before rushing into Tian Chen's body.
It seemed to extermine all over his body, and even his mind before turning into small symbols reorganizing themselves into his mind.
At this point, a massive eruption occurred, as the mountain has collasped in on itself, but the pressure that had been building up just took form.
Boom!
Tian Chen's ragged figure, was unlucky to be carried along with a massive boulder that was impacted forcefully into the sky.
The impact to him was deadly, as his bones had been broken.
His pain had already reached a whole new level. Perhaps at this point he could just become numb to all of it.

A week later***
Somewhere in an old village, on a stone bed, a mummy with green medical paste all over groaned in pain as it strugglef to open its eyes.
"aahh!.."
