Currently, Adrian was in the bathroom, while Christine's parents stood outside the door - one holding a towel, the other a glass of water - looking as attentive as hotel staff.
He had been inside for several minutes without making a sound. Pat was worried and, seeing Christine coming out of Oliver's room, pulled her daughter aside to ask: "Chrissy, should we go in and help? I'm worried Adrian might have really passed out in there alone."
Christine knew Adrian's unpredictable nature and his almost obsessive cleanliness. If he really was drunk, she guessed he absolutely wouldn't want anyone to see him in that state.
With this in mind, she quickly waved her hand and whispered: "Don't go in."
But Adrian seemed to have supernatural hearing. As soon as Christine finished speaking, his voice came through the door: "Christine, come in."
