God World
By the bank of a river stood a small hut with a courtyard behind it. This courtyard was like a world of its own. Flowers bloomed beautifully, surrounding a small, serene pond. Within the pond, a snake-like figure could be seen floating just below the surface.
As the figure rose from the water, it revealed itself as a golden Eastern dragon, though it was only about 1.5 meters long. And that wasn't all—there was a fiery red, chicken-like bird in the corner of the courtyard. If it were larger, it would resemble a phoenix from legends. Nearby, a lizard-like creature with white crystal scales lay napping, looking much like a Western dragon. Many other mystical creatures roamed the courtyard, giving it the appearance of a small magical zoo.
In the middle of the courtyard, a man sat cross-legged, eyes closed in meditation. Suddenly, a powerful whirlwind kicked up around him, but he remained undisturbed, as though shielded by an invisible force. When the wind died down, he slowly opened his eyes. In the depths of his dark gaze, a whole universe seemed to revolve—a mesmerizing sight.
"As I thought, there is no further progress," he sighed. "It looks like I've reached the end of my cultivation path…"
This was Ethan, the strongest being in the God World. Despite his power, he felt a deep sadness at the thought of being unable to advance further in his cultivation.
With an infinite lifespan, Ethan had been on his cultivation journey for over a million years. In the mortal world, he'd had only one companion, his younger sister Jasmine. Together, they had faced many hardships, but it was these challenges that had driven Ethan to take his first step toward cultivation. After countless dangers and opportunities, he had become the pinnacle mage of the mortal world in just 20 years, earning the title of the youngest and strongest mage.
He hadn't been alone on this journey, though. Alongside Jasmine, Ethan had the help of a powerful system, his "golden finger" as a transmigrator. With the system's guidance, he rose to the peak of the mortal world's cultivation. The system had been simple in the mortal world: kill, gain experience, level up. But when he ascended to the Immortal World, the system went silent for a whole year before returning with new rules.
In the Immortal World, the system evolved into a "10,000-fold system," allowing Ethan to dominate with ease. He soon reached the rank of Mythical Magi and became the strongest being in the Immortal World. Just before he ascended to the God World, he discovered that his sister Jasmine had also entered the Immortal World. Leaving her with his inheritance, he bid her farewell and began the next stage of his journey.
Arriving in the God World, Ethan's system fell silent once more. He waited patiently for its upgrade, but after a year, it still hadn't returned. This was the scariest moment in his life, facing dangers without his system. Several years passed, and eventually, he accepted that the system was gone. He chose the path of a regular cultivator, working hard to reach the level of God Emperor.
Just when he'd resigned himself to life without the system, it returned, now restructured into a "sign-in system." With a new routine, Ethan continued his journey but no longer affiliated himself with any sect or organization. He became a wandering cultivator, and after ten million years, he attained the title of the strongest being in the God World.
As for his sister, she too had ascended to the God World, where she became the sect leader of the Ice Mist Sect. Though her rank was lower, at the level of God Venerable, her connection to Ethan ensured that no one dared to trouble her or her sect.
Back in the present, it had been years since Ethan reached the peak of the Supreme Realm. Feeling downcast at the lack of new cultivation paths, he stood and approached the pond, watching the little dragon swim gracefully. Each creature in the courtyard had been his companion on the road of cultivation. To an ordinary person, they might appear as mere pets, but in truth, they were legendary beings—each powerful enough to destroy entire worlds with ease.
As Ethan reminisced on his past adventures, a sudden stirring in his heart interrupted him. A 10-meter-tall gate surrounded by golden light appeared before him. His creatures began to roar in alarm, sensing possible danger, but Ethan held up a hand to calm them.
He recognized the sensation—the same feeling he'd experienced when ascending to each higher realm. Excitement welled up within him, and he began to laugh wildly.
"Hahaha… This isn't the end! Supreme isn't the limit. I can go further!"
After a few moments, Ethan steadied himself and contacted Jasmine and his old friends through a spiritual link.
"Hey everyone, I've found a new path forward. I'm going first, and I'll wait for you all. Farewell."
Without waiting for any replies, Ethan waved his hand, storing the hut and courtyard full of legendary creatures inside his small-world prop. Taking one last look at the God World, Ethan stepped into the gate with a determined expression, ready to embark on a new legendary journey.
Ice Mist Sect
In a forbidden area, a girl stood with a bittersweet smile, gazing into the distant sky. She was sad because her brother was leaving once again, yet happy because he had finally achieved his dream.
"Big Brother, no matter where you go, I will follow you. This is my promise," she murmured softly.
With that, Jasmine closed her eyes and resumed her cultivation.
Elsewhere in the God World, a mountain-sized giant stood atop a towering peak, looking in Ethan's direction and laughing heartily.
"Hahaha… Brother, good luck! But don't get complacent—I'll be right behind you!" His voice boomed like thunder, each word as heavy as a mountain.
This was Garald, one of Ethan's friends from the Giant Clan.
In the eastern region of the God World, within a Chinese-style pavilion, a young man with long black hair whispered to himself, "Good brother, I will catch up to you soon."
This was Xiao Yan, with a powerful organization behind him. He had always been both a rival and friend to Ethan.
