Hudson's POV :
How can we all just pretend that the school didn't flood yesterday and act as if nothing happened?
Can I go back to being best friends with Enmei without her being angry that I didn't save her. If I even thought that was possible that would make me the most selfish person in the world....well maybe if EROS didn't exist.
Can I just pretend that I didn't hear Eros' thoughts when he was thinking about how he wouldn't exist in another Universe ?
I feel so bad for him but I know he doesn't want love. I'm pretty sure he'd hate falling in love with some peasant just to save the world. Eros doesn't have romantic feelings and it isn't his fault but .....
" What about you ? You've been ranting for the past few hours about everybody else but what's your problem ?" Venus asked as Hudson stood in a class, pouring chemicals from one test tube to another.
" I've always wanted to be a doctor just because I wanted to save people. I really value human life but I can't keep pretending like I think all Doctors are heroes. They're just doing the job that they get paid to do and they are doing it poorly. I started studying medicine because I wanted to make sure there was at least one good doctor I could swear by . Me. "
" You know with the powers you have now you can focus on actually saving people instead of curing them. Wouldn't that be better." Venus said
" Yea. Prevention is always better than a cure...but I remember that hopeless look on my father's face when he was diagnosed with an illness that had no cure. I want to be the one to wipe that hopeless look off of other people's faces. I may not be strong enough or deserving of Eros' power but I can use his super speed to deliver medicine and transport people in critical conditions and I can use his other abilities to hypnotize some great scientists into helping me find the cure for cancer. " Hudson told Venus and she smiled.
" You're a man with a plan. I like that. " Venus said and Hudson blushed.
" So what's your impression of Eros so far because everyone else thinks he's poisonous."
" Yes his Pheromones, right ?" Hudson replied cluelessly and Venus laughed.
" His personality, his attitude, everything about him is poisonous."
" I don't think he's poisonous. I think he's like a foxglove plant . It can Poison you but it can also be the medicine that you need." Hudson replied as he stood in a classroom, pouring one chemical into the next.
" You're point is ?" Venus asked. She was genuinely confused about where the conversation was headed.
"Sometimes the medicine is the poison. Eros is like that it just depends on who you are and how you look at things and maybe the mood he's in ."
" Ah I see. He just needs the right person to bring out his good side and show us how healing he can be. Not bad, Scientist." Venus said as she got up and patted Hudson's shoulder gently.
" My NAME is Hudson."
" Eros calls you Starboy everyday and you don't get angry. "
" He's been calling me that since highschool I got tired of telling him to stop."
Venus walked off.
The whole school was acting as they normally did and Eros was in an empty classroom skipping science class when Cole came in to annoy him.
" Yo , Eros you forgot your costume yesterday." Cole announced to Eros as he walked into the classroom and sat in the chair beside him.
" What costume ? " Eros asked then he remembered that he had brainwashed everyone and replaced their memories with some random costume party.
" The bunny costume, dude. Elias took it ."
" Good for him. I'm going to go check on something else. By the way no band rehearsals today."
"Aww man. I was looking forward to impressing some babes with my awesome music skills." Elias said and Eros got up suddenly.
" I'm going out for a snack." Eros stated as he got up out his seat and headed towards the door.
He was craving the human emotion that would strengthen his body. Another person's love. This didn't mean that he valued love though. It simply meant that he used some. for power.
Eros would play with women's emotions then once they fall madly in love with him he'd drain every drop of love from them.
Eros exited the class room and started walking down the hall to look for a girl who he could drain and Enmei was walking in his direction.
They were walking towards each other and when they finally made eye contact they both immediately turned the opposite direction of each other , never crossing paths but choosing to avoid each other instead.
Enmei rolled her eyes and when she was alone she started crying and Eros was disgusted by the thought of Enmei liking him because she was too much like Hudson.
He lost his appetite and decided to go to the next class. He was getting tired of humans every day and thinking that maybe he should go back to his home Planet.
He went to his next class , sat down and zoned out.
At school Hudson was studying medicine and trying to create a cure for cancer and at Eros' home Yukina was working on more potions.
One wanted to find a cure for diseases and one wanted to prevent the end of the world but both of them were failing miserably at whatever the hell they said they were doing.
Hudson almost burned the class down and Yukina had made the stinkiest mixture she could causing Orion to pinch his nose, lift her up and throw her through a window along with all the things she made.
Venus argued with Orion and got into a big fight but Yukina had shape shifted into a cat and landed on her feet in a garden outside.
When Eros got home he was exhausted.
When Enmei got home she fell asleep and had a strange dream that felt real.
There was a voice speaking to her and it was asking her questions.
' what does it mean to be the perfect woman? The woman that Eros would love ?' The voice said mockingly then she started to dream about events that happened in some other world.
' First you have to be pretty and feminine. ' The voice said then it continued listing out all the things that Eros might like in a woman .
' Next you have to be unique. Then you have to be powerful and the most important part ....' The voice paused and the dream that Enmei had started becoming dark and terrifying.
' is that you should not exist at all !'
' what's Eros' ideal type? ' Enmei dreamt of her younger self staring into a mirror asking it that question in a candle lit room and her reflection in the mirror slowly turned into a tall dark monster and answered the question showing its sharp white teeth.
' Some one who doesn't exist. You shouldn't exist. You shouldn't exist at all. You were a mistake. You should have never been borne. If you really want Eros to love you disappear.' The monster stepped out the mirror grabbed her and was about to rip her to shreds when she woke up screaming.
Enmei sat up in bed , sweating and shaking in terror she turned the lamp in her room on.
Her room was light pink and filled with movie and band posters like Hudson's room.
She looked over at her nightstand frantically and took up her bottle of pills.
She quickly took one out and popped it into her mouth.
' I forgot to take my medicine.' She said and in the closet of her room out of her field of vision was the tall dark monster with sharp teeth that was in her dream. It was as if the monster escaped her dream and she didn't notice it there so she went right back to sleep, snoring peacefully as the night went on.
