Elias sat behind his desk, his tie was loosened and the sleeves of his shirt was rolled up.
The small light from the desk lamp cast some shadows in the room. Lena entered, carrying a fresh batch of reports.
"You are still here?" Elias asked, looking up.
"I thought you might need these, You said you wanted them by tonight." Lena said, putting the folder on his desk.
"I did. Thank you, Lena. You have been... very reliable lately." Elias said as he gave a tired smile.
"Just doing my job." Lena shifted uncomfortably, unsure of how to respond as she answered.
"Sit," Elias said, pointing to the chair opposite from him.
"Is something wrong?" Lena hesitated before sitting down, her hands was folded very well in her lap as she spoke.
"Not exactly, but I have been thinking a lot about trust lately. About how easily it can be broken."
Elias said, resting back in his chair.
