She stumbled back in shock and fear the second she opened her eyes and saw so much blood. Shocked to realize that she had actually stabbed the guard in the eye, her mouth hung open as she continued to step back with an aghast look on her face.
"This isn't what I asked, but it should be good enough!" she heard Cain say as he stepped forward towards the screaming guard and pulled the blade out of his eye without any hesitation in his movements.
Violet was still trembling as she heard the screams tear out of the cell, threatening to grow louder as the guard screamed even more from the pain. Cain, however, continued to speak.
"You should take his finger, and you should be—" But Violet couldn't take it any longer. She stumbled completely out of the cell, both hands over her mouth, trying to prevent herself from throwing up whatever she had eaten as she realized what she had done.
