The first thing Delphinia noticed when she woke up was that it was already morning. She rubbed her eyes, her head still foggy, and reached out beside her without thinking. Her fingers grazed cool sheets instead of the warmth she had expected.

A soft sigh escaped her lips as she let her head sink back into the pillow. Her hand moved to clutch the blanket closer around her, the fabric brushing against her bare skin. Bare.
Her cheeks flushed instantly, heat crawling up her neck as she realized she wasn't exactly dressed. Only the blanket shielded her from the morning air. Memories from the night before came rushing back, vivid and overwhelming.
The thought of them crossing that line warmed her inside, even as it made her wince a little.
