Chapter 48 - Hello, Dude

Evander's shoes clicked against the floor as he made his way back from lunch. He looked as sharp as ever, his suit flawless and his tie perfectly straight. The workday had been productive so far, but his mind lingered on the mountain of paperwork waiting for him on his desk. 

Pushing the heavy oak door open, he entered his spacious office, but something felt off. 

His chair, was turned away from his desk, facing the large windows that overlooked the city skyline. A flicker of suspicion crossed Evander's face, and he stopped in his track. 

Before he could say anything, the chair began to spin slowly, revealing the intruder seated casually in his spot. Julian. 

The younger guy lounged back, legs crossed, wearing a smug grin. "This chair," Julian said, running his hand along the armrest, "is ridiculously comfortable. I should get one of these."
