Bai Suzhen stood firm in the command center of the flying castle, illuminated by the glow of flickering magical panels. In front of her, Lena, her face tense with worry, continuously pressed buttons and pulled levers to fire the castle's defense cannons at the approaching inverted wraiths.
"They're endless!" Lena gasped, her fingers trembling as she triggered another massive explosion outside. The sound of the blasts echoed through the control room, followed by vibrations that unsettled the floor beneath them.
"Stay focused, Lena! Don't let them breach our defenses," Bai Suzhen said, her tone calm but commanding. Her hands moved swiftly over the control panel, inputting new coordinates to steer the castle away from the relentless waves of attacks.
Lena glanced at her briefly, sweat trickling down her temple. "How do you even know how to operate this castle? It took me ages to learn the system!"
